After 11 years, I finally played FFXV. Let's talk about it. My understanding of Ardyn's motives is that Bahamut told him that he has to turn the world into eternal night and let Noctis kill him, but I was very unclear on why Bahamut wants this.
Is FFXV really as bad as people say?I just got into the series and I want to play more modern titles but 16 doesn't interest me and I've already beaten FF7 remake and rebirth
Bahamut and the other primals are trying to get rid of the star scourge. The told Ardyn he was going to do it, but what they didn't tell him was that the chosen king would have to kill him for it to happen. Arfyn sees this as a betrayal because he assumed he was going to be the chosen king instead of one of his brother's descendants.
Beatrix is much stronger than Cloud.

As for the gameplay is alright but even that feels unfinished. Even worst when you seen how much bigger the world was suppose to be. The game's world was shown to be much bigger when they were showing it off, only to get 1/3 of the map they've shown fans. Its like a tiny commute. Not in a fans nitpicking kind of way either. Square was advertising this game hard before release, showing off every little detail.Its just a mess of a game all around. The game just isn't worth the file size especially if you mean the PC port. No price can warrant an unfinished massive sized game.

It's a solid 8/10 game that becomes 9/10 if you like the characters and 10/10 if roadtrip with the lads is your kinda jam
Maybe they should have just ditched the shit story altogether and made the entire game a low-stakes road trip with your bros. Because early on when it's just that it's genuinely a fantastic time.

It doesn't make sense that Bahamut isn't fightable in the base game. I believe all Astrals were supposed to have their own boss fights but the game was rushed, so they skipped Ramuh and Shiva which doesn't make any sense. I suppose Shiva could be an exception since she's on your side by default.

And dont fucking take the alternate route near the final game, you play as gladius in a literal corridor for 1 hour. Dont fucking do it, what a way to kill the climax of the ending of the game
