>https://daromeon.itch.io/cubeCan /v/ draw a cube?
>>744630848>yeah bro just guess this cube that could actually be valid in many different forms in my waybullshit
>>744630848wait, *that* Daromeon?
oh god. oh jesus.
Does it still work if you just draw a head on cube, ie a square?
>>744630848The scoring feels kinda arbitrary to me. As long as you obey the rules around vanishing points, there are an infinite number of cubes you could extrapolate depending on what perspective you choose to draw.
>>744630848Daromeon? The nigga who draws the Breaker?
>>744634296Yeh, he loves AI and is doing a lot of experimental stuff with it
>>744634634I wish he drew the breaker again, in manwha format and without the stupid power scaling Fug I want mc to marry Soul already it's been like 20 years ffs
>>744634859Honestly with how much he is flirting with the idea of AI and using it in his comics I think he might come back to it another time
>>744635020I don't mind sloppa, he might as well use it to animate the whole thing even if it's like motion comics style or something where it's only pans and some limited animation. The Breaker is a series that a lot of people myself included grew up with, am not even Korean
>>744632490No, this is simply wrong anon.
does this legit make you better over time?
>>744635276If that's wrong, then even the example dotted lines are wrong relative to a perfect isometric projection of a cube. You can put the vanishing point anywhere you want, the only thing it changes is how 'warped' the resulting perspective is. They are all valid constructions and if the game wants a specific one it needs to be clearer about that.Although if this is the daromeon that draws kengan and loves ai somehow this doesn't surprise me at all.
>>744635276It was vibe coded with fable 5 so you might be right
is this an IQ test?
>>744636124it's a training tool to tap into one's psychic potential
This shit so wack.
>timedWell fuck that.
i thought its just repeating the half lines, completing invisible ones is retarded, i could build a 3 point perspective for myself good enough, but whats the point in identifying it, im not AI
>>744630848Why yes I am a STEMcel whose parents forbade me from art, how could you tell
they have different vanishing points depending on the side so its rigged from the start
>>744635743You are wrong, in isometric view the opposite edges of a cube are always parallel and the opposite angles are always equal. The more exaggerated the perpective is the less equal they become.
>>744637768The example cube in the tutorial is deemed more correct than my example simply by virtue of having the vanishing point further away making its proportions less warped. It's an entirely arbitrary distinction, and if you're going to judge a cube that way, then an isometric cube with no vanishing point at all would be the most perfect cube.Which is to say, yes that's what I said. You would've understood that from my post if you weren't retarded.
>>744638691The distance from the vanishing point determines the angles and the lenghs relations of the quadrilateral.
>>744637258no excuse
>>744638827Yeah and the game not telling you where it wants the vanishing point to be is poor design because you're basically guessing at the one it wants. Both these are valid cubes as well as the infinite number of variations between them.
>>744639152They're not both valid, you blind retard
>>744639152You're supposed to derive the vanishing point from the relation between the angles and the lenghs. That's the entire point of this game.
>>744639352>>744639334You are being shown distortion from a single point only, it doesnt subject itself to any others that the author might have used
>>744639479The information provided by the game is sufficient because it depends entirely on the implied vanishing point.
>>744630848This is making me feel really dumb
>>744639538No its not its a 3 point perspective
>>744630848oo this is great. Not enough artists care to learn correct perspective and form imhodesu
>>744639152Bro you drew a CRT television, let it go
I draw and got utterly obliterated. (I am on phone tho, i can easily cope). I will use this everyday. Holy shit i need it. Do you have more of this, /v/?
>>744639152Wrong. You didn't draw a cube, if rotated you discover different form. The rules of perspective allow to find exact location of where the second vanishing point is going to be. You have two vanishing points and field of vision, you assume distance from object, you can find the angle at which the cube is rotated from the known vanishing point, mark that angle at ground level mark, and extend the remaining angle from i think 180 degrees until line crosses eye level. I am 100% inaccurate, but i think that's the gist of it. Also dont forget you want good enough, not perfection, you dont need geometry. I will keep failing until i can guess the depth of field. I love this. I needed this for so long.
>>744639649I consider it a reality check.
>Daromeon'That man'?
>>744640643>You have two vanishing pointsIf it's 3 point perspective, seeing a single 2d face of the cube does not give you enough information to infer its proportions. Or more accurately you can put the 3rd vanishing point anywhere you want depending on what perspective you want to draw the cube from. I thought it would be simple enough if it was just a cube, but maybe I underestimate how much the average person struggles with art (it's not even art, this is just geometry). This is like not being able to see the apple except you guys must be looking at the world in 2d or something.
>>744632490That's not a Cube, anon. That's a Frustrum.
>>744640268>>744641183I guess today's the day you find out you can't reckon in 3 dimensions and anything you see on a piece of paper you take literally.
man this is hard
>>744641309Hope your journey of continued self-discovery is fruitful anon.
I don't know where to begin.
is the premise of the cube test that the lines will always be straight? because if you draw in wide angle style, even straight lines will become warped.
I have no background in art. What am I doing wrong with my reference point? Like the vanishing point can go anywhere, right? I'm trying to extrapolate the orientation of the cube but I'm always a good distance off.
*cheats*
>>744642789Vanishing points are on the horizon line. The hroizon line is just your eye level. This game really should show the horizon line if you want to guess well.
>>744632490>>744639152I figure it just expects the most basic answer
>>744643009The vanishing points aren't on the horizon, you're assuming that the cube is laying on one of its faces.
I think the premise is flawed because you can't tell how much perspective distortion the camera has based on one plane floating in a void. While drawing cubes in perspective is very useful for learning how to draw, I don't see how this exercise being helpful.
>>744630848>Thread theme: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aWuNzXttLVE
>>744643818I'm literally just telling you perspective 101, and this game seems to heavily rely on basic cube drawings.
>>744644142And I'm telling you that the vanishing point can only be on the horizon line if the cube is parallel to the ground, which isn't necessarily the case in the game.
man, i have quite literally 0 artistic bones in my body.i mean, i knew that already, but still
Second try, got 30 on the first one. What's the trick to this? How am I meant to figure out the angles besides "it feels about right"?
>>744631771>in many different formsnot with a 3d cube you don't, you permabeg
>>744647967there's almost no point in arguing with the retards here. They always work backwards from the assumption that they are correct. If they make a hilariously incorrect statement just ignore them.
>gets so filtered they try to cope that spacetime is fake and gay
>>744638904This book is so bad. I fell for the meme and bought it. After reading the first 10 pages, I gave it to my sister. holy shit, what a ridiculous load of nonsense.
What is even the best way to get better at this?>>744648517Books are generally bad because authors have to fill them with fluff.
>>744649565literally nobody knows. It's magic. There's a thread on /ic/ and people who can do it cannot explain how.
Can any /int/s try this and tell whether its the site that's dogshit or anons here that are dogshit?
would be more impressive on a controller
>>744649781on /ic/ they can get 70s and 80s. It isn't the game.
I hate this shit. I hate /ic/. I can make good art without this bullshit. You fucking crabs can try to drag me down but you'll never manage to.
>>744650016pyw
>*spins Skyrim apple in head*Well, I guess not everyone can be as intelligent as me.
>/v/ so retarded they think the website is a trick
>>744650016>I can make good art Literally no one that is actually good at art says "I'm good at art".
>>744649959teach me your ways, sensei
>>744650849Good thing I didn't say that, then.
The fact that so many anons here can't draw a cube - even with guidance - makes me completely understand why AI is extremely popular.
>>744639152When given the front face of a cube you can mathimatically determine with exact precision all other vertices. There is no ambiguity. It's simple linear algebra.
holy shit this is hard
Draw a Sphere is easier
>draw art regularly>30 ptsshould I just fucking kill myself?
????
>>744652923pyw. No one here has any idea if being good at this has correlation with being good at art.
>>744653365I dont get this game i'm trying my best to make it the cube
>>744653551I keep running out of time
>>744653634The faces dont work on the cube when they should, it cant show theA B and C sides
this game's mad hard
>>744653720it shows it wrong so you cant actually draw the cubes sides like theyre supposed to be
i get best score when i dont care and just throw random lines, cool. thanks
>>744653365>>744653551>>744653634>>744653720>>744653810
I don't know how this thing works. I think just by looking at the cube's front, you can figure out everything else, but there must be some really complex geometry behind it...
>>744653483I'm too self-conscious to do that after this mogging, but at least my subsequent attempts are improving and I can feel my brain bulge inside my skull.
>>744654241bigger focal length = bigger angles between edges
>>744644927lmao
>>744654196I think the game wasnt asking for cubes because people are getting better scores without drawing the cube like: >>744650181 which doesnt have the C side of the cube (the top) got 90 somehow
>>744654241You can find two focal points using just one face. After that, I don't know how you can determine the angle to find the yellow lines. If you know how to find the angles, then it's easy to reconstruct the entire cube using just a single face, even without knowing the "camera" settings within the perspective.
>>744654993Based on what I read here, it's impossible to reconstruct the cube exactly using just a single face. The third vanishing point is ambiguous. The best you can do is construct a "possible" cube, but not the exact cube that was used for the original image of the face.
Scores I got on mobile where I can't even see the line I'm drawing. Get mogged.
>>744654993Vanishing point C has to be on the same (horizon) line as vanishing point A. This helps out a ton when trying to reconstruct a cube.
>>744648517That's all drawing books. What this shit boils down to is grinding, studying, grinding, studying and establishing your own intuition. This isn't like maths, where there is a clear cut explanation for everything.
