People in America only know Hello Kitty/Sanrio and Shin-chan, and Shin-chan is extremely niche at that. Doraemon and Shin-chan were aired here on kid's channels for an extremely small period of time on Disney I think and that's it. I have never seen anyone mention Anpanman, Sazae-san, or Maruko whatsoever, not even in the weeb groups and people I know. I'm pretty sure I'm the only one out of everyone I know who even knows of these brands let alone anything about them.
