The switch 2 port is disappointing. Locked 30 fps and bad graphics in handheld mode.
They realised cancelling the PS3 version was a mistake becasue they could no longer point at it as an excuse of technical limitations when the players were demanding improvements that they should have implemented decads ago.So now they decided to release it on another underpowered piece of shit hardware so they can continue to do fuckall while pointing at it.

>>744656804Switch 2 isn’t underpowered, Square Enix is just stupid. Switch 2 supports an upscaler that the jeets used to make FF7 Rebirth run, but CBU3 couldn’t use that for FF14. It’s classic Square Enix. Docked and handheld are also running at the same resolution which isn’t supposed to happen. There’s no reason why two games from the same company look so wildly different.
Why would I want to play FFXIV in the first place?
Anyone tried Frontlines with it? I'm curious how it handles 72 players.

>>744661284No it doesn’t. Docked has an “unlocked” frame rate in that you can potentially achieve a very choppy 40-50 FPS in a solo V&C instance. The overworld is locked to 30 FPS. And regardless, the resolution is absolutely terrible for docked mode with no upscaling. It legitimately looks and runs like a Switch 1 game. FF7 was locked to 30 FPS but at least it didn’t look like complete dogshit.
