It's so boring and homofied. In a real Fire Emblem game, Diamant would've been the MC. The fuck is this colgate bullshit with power ranger rings? About the only things I enjoyed were Diamant, Alcryst, hiya papaya, and Soren's summon. "That's what taxes pay for," was such a flashback moment for me, because I remember that scene from PoR, when he's explaining that the grandest betrayal a state can commit against its citizens is losing a war, as protection in that regard is supposed to be what the citizens are paying for.

I think it's time to accept I'm an elitist. Modern FE is never gonna drop certain trends that I dislike so I shouldn't hope for it unless old games are remade since Echoes was faithful. PoR was the last Fire Emblem with dignity (I don't like RD).
i played engage on maddening but hit a massive wall on chapter 19. i probably had 100+ hours in the game too at that point but i just couldnt do it lmao. shit was hard as fuck. yet im too stubborn to lower the difficulty to finish it.

I personally liked the ring system with the STANDS. It was fun. I had way more fun playing Engage than I did Three Houses by miles. I'm sure eventually I'll play Weave, if I ever get a Switch 2 but based off what I'm seeing I don't think I'll find it very fun. It looks boring like Three Houses. There is no cool/wacky system like the STANDS and what not.
