It's Xinput out the box so it works with almost everything.
>>
it works out the box if you don't want to use any of the advertised features
>>
>>744656556
i like the controller but i got scammed on the paddles which apparently only work with some android version of their chinaware slop program
>>
>>744658575
should be recognized by steam on 2.4hz if you turn it on x-input(power+B) only problem is almost nothing works with it

>>
>Xbox, playstation, and Nintendo controllers work perfectly on PC
>Companies with known quality assurance and good return policy with repair and replacement programs exist
>Faggots still buy cheap knock offs and expect name brand quality
I can't help you more than your public school already has, in terms of being a failure.

>>
>>744660208
if it works on steam you can put your mmo of choice into steam as a third party game and let the steam drivers work through that.
>>
>>744660258
Chink controllers absolute mog the shit out of all the current official controllers, because they use hall effect sticks that won't start drifting in 6 months.

Superior controller (this one is wired though). Could just be me, I always preferred the shape of playstation controllers over the shape of xbox controllers. I regret buying 8bitdo Ultimate 2 just because it feels like shit to hold, I want to hold a banana instead.

note: this is not an ad, even though it looks like one.
>>
>>744663054
8bitdo have the pro pad line for playstation layout
>>
>>744663201
well it doesn't show up when you search controller on amazon, you just get a million xbox controller clones
>>
Works for me. I got the mint one.
>>
>>744663315
yeah xbox layout is way more popular.
sucks ass I hate it.

The problem is that Xinput is the standard controller API being used almost everywhere, but it was designed specifically for the Xbox 360 controller with no headspace added for future iterations. A controller could come out with 50 buttons, but you would only be able to map them to existing inputs on a 360 controller (or some programmable macro consisting of those same inputs).

Maybe with Microsoft starting to move towards GameInput, that can change things going forwards. Having a unified input API also opens up interesting possibilities, like using a mouse for accurate aiming and a joystick for 360° analogue movement.
