i don't play other games anymore
Why? RPGs are absolutely braindead.
I managed to get to act three once. It's a decent game, but going through it 17 times is pure autism and a waste of time. That sort of replayability just isn't there.
>>744661381is it a good game?
>>744661381There's a lot I dislike about some of the design choices and writing in BG3, but credit where credit is due. I have played it a ton, still enjoy it, and feel like I have plenty more I could do.>>744661448If you think BG3 is braindead, you haven't yet tried to rescue everyone from the Iron Throne. Even on lower difficulties, it's not easy. Some of the best tactical fun I've had in a cRPG.
>>744661537Not OP, but the game can actually be pretty short if you speedrun it. The level cap is low enough that you can easily reach it by just rushing into fights and ignoring most side quests. You can do all that in just a few hours if you know the main objectives and combat areas well.Actual speedruns are pretty insane for how long the game is. Without major glitches, people can still beat what is normally an 80 hour game in about half an hour.https://www.speedrun.com/baldurs_gate_3
>>744661381This is where Part 2 peaked
>>744661448truly the worst genre yet somehow everyone loves this garbage
>Redditsawman
>>744661537the replayability comes from trying different builds and different challenges (trio honor mode, duo honor mode, solo honor mode) that make you have to think about the encounters and the variance is enough to make every playthrough feel different. using item randomizers, gear mods and combat extenders helps too. >>744661889yes, someone who gets it. i don't care much for the writing either, especially at this point, but the gameplay is continuously fun even after over 1,500 hours
>>744662301I do not see the appeal of speedruns at all.

>OP says they play vidya>anons immediately do anything than discuss vidya
>>744661889>Some of the best tactical fun I've had in a cRPG.Same I immediately replayed that part like 5 times to get the perfect run. Insanely fun level design.

>>744661381>>744662852My Honor mode save got corrupted in Act 3 and it pissed me off so much I learned to speedrun it out of spite. Never speedran a game before but it was worth it so I could actually complete Honor mode.
>>744661381can you believe some balck retards from xitter are unironically disgusted about this character?it's like they have never seen a normal skinny japanese girl before but only disgusting fat slob sluts instead
>>744662456I like RPGs because:>They typically aren't reaction-dependent.I can relax and take my time or spend more time strategizing and coming up with unorthodox ways to play when they have turn-based or similar combat mechanics. Games like Dark Souls don't fit this one as much, but you can still boost stats or gear to make up for shitty reactions/skill to some extent.>Number go upIt's fun to feel progression take place. A lot of times I will play RPGs only up until the point that levels come more slowly and my character-build is complete because creating the perfect fighter is the main draw.>I like playing dress-upJRPGs not so much, but WRPGs tend to have extremely robust character creators and let you visually customize their outfits. That shit is so fun. I love doing cosplay builds too, like making Simon Belmont in Dark Souls 2 or playing as Obi-Wan Kenobi in Baldur's Gate 1 (just a couple I can remember doing).>immersive sim gameplayThis is mostly WRPGs like Skyrim. I love being able to lose myself in the game world, and these games let me do a bunch of mundane shit like chopping logs for a few coins and then working my way up to something cool like becoming a functionally-immortal enchanter with a sword strong enough to kill gods.>the story is sometimes good and character-focusedThis is more for JRPGs. Sometimes I just really want a good story and to watch the character relationships play out. Games like Final Fantasy 7 or Tales of Symphonia have stories and characters I enjoy more than a lot of movies I have watched.
>>744663259yeah all of that is awful
>>744662456>>744663408>I don't like thing therefore thing is objectively badsubnormal IQ
>>744661381I have had 3 runs. On release, after the final patch and another one a couple months later. And every single time i get to the third act i can not bring myself to continue. The game loses all steam.
>hiding his shit shill thread behind an anime pictureReally, what's the point anymore? You're not even helping drive sales that way.
