It was cool for the first few hours, but then it just gets really repetitive trying to solve puzzles between the tedious setups and limited windows provided by the time loop for experimentation, the "survival mechanics" that only serve to waste your time, and not even having any idea of where/what the puzzle actually is, which is not helped by the fact that 98% of the shit you discover in the game is wholly irrelevant to the critical path. Also the writing is EXTREMELY gay and reddit.

Nah, literal walls of text and aliens personalities / style of communication in them made it worse. Not even because of its reddit manner but simply because it killed the mystery and made it feel not like a piece of alien culture but rather as a conversation between social media addicted college students.

DLC did this so much better by leaving the owls both mysterious and understandable.
