Would you say Outer Wilds is a 10/10 game?
Fuck no, it's a contender for most overrated game ever made along with shit like OOT, Dark souls and New Vegas. The game is a 10 if you're a normalfag whos never played a puzzle game before.
>>744661819yes
>>744661819if you have enough patience it's pretty good but obviously it isn't for everybody
>>744661819No. It has one great gimmick, but every other aspect of the game is abysmal.
Yes
>>7446618199/10. I felt the reset cycle was a little too short at times but in general it's use of movement and gravity in puzzles is pretty fantastic.
7/10, hated the visuals and there was not a single memorable character.
>>744661819No the puzzles are waaaaay too basic
>play outer wilds>gameplay is reading groupchat from reddit alienslol it had a fun game structure but everything inside is just literal dogshit
>>744661819Yeah
>>744662124What is a 10 to you?
>>744662257This
>>744661819It's a flawed master piece, so no, it's a 9
>>744661819a 10? No. Solid 8but it's ambitious, creative, and very original. And those are some of the best things that can be said about a game
>>744661819It was cool for the first few hours, but then it just gets really repetitive trying to solve puzzles between the tedious setups and limited windows provided by the time loop for experimentation, the "survival mechanics" that only serve to waste your time, and not even having any idea of where/what the puzzle actually is, which is not helped by the fact that 98% of the shit you discover in the game is wholly irrelevant to the critical path. Also the writing is EXTREMELY gay and reddit. t. 140 IQ white middle class first worlder who has beaten 500+ games
its an extremely 8/10 game
>>744666582140 IQ my ass
>>744666867Outer Wilds is THE quintessential midwit redditor game.
>>744667120I don't disagree with that
>>744666085NTA but my 10/10s are ori and the blind forest, nuhitman, and bloons td6outer wilds is an 8
>>744662124This.
>>744661819To be a 10/10, a game should have some level of replayability, which outer wilds doesn't have. So it can only really be 9/10 at best.
>>744661819good heavens no,it's only a 9.921007/10
>>744662124>unironically putting reddit trash like Outer Wilds in the same category as all time greats like OoT, Dark Souls, and New VegasThis has to be like some kind of reverse psychology falseflag bait.
>>744667496and now you made it way too obvious...
>>744661819no the fun timer ruins any sense of exploration or world building which just ends up as reading lore dumps anyway
>>744661819Yes.
>>744662124fpbp
>>744661819I'd say its a 9/10 DLC is a 10/10
>>744661819lol, lmao even.
L A T E R A LHINKINGthe game
ya or close to it. it does everything it sets out to do pretty well. open world games should look at the "knowledge to unlock more exploration" model more often
>>7446618199/10ember twin was more annoying than fun. Otherwise fantastic game including the DLC
>>744672154They killed it dead with the walls of dull text and boring alien characters for most gamersThe flight and planet mechanics were magic and OST is a clear 10\10They should do a remake just making the info dumping more entertaining and engaging, think Nintendo styleIt only sold 3-4 million, it deserves 20+Inb4 autists defending text
>>744672707>they should make the info dumping more entertainingthey made the picture book DLC for people like youi actually knew someone who hated the base game because they had to read but loved the dlc
Nah, literal walls of text and aliens personalities / style of communication in them made it worse. Not even because of its reddit manner but simply because it killed the mystery and made it feel not like a piece of alien culture but rather as a conversation between social media addicted college students.DLC did this so much better by leaving the owls both mysterious and understandable.
>>744662124>its le puzzle gamelmfao every time
>>744661819like 8/10. story/ending blows but the gameplay is fun and the puzzle design philosophy is unique(?).my favourite moments are when my ship gets fucked up and i have to clutch out repairs before crashing or having to use o2 propulsion to barely make it to the white hole station
owlk did nothing wrong btw
>>744661819No. It will drive you insane and make you a vorefag.
>>744661819Constantly repeating the first 3 minutes of The Stranger was an utter chore. The base game however? Yes, probably one of the most perfect games ever made.
itt
>>744674682He did nothing wrong.
>>744661819No, 90% of the dialogue is shit desu
>>744672707>Inb4 autists defending textif you don't like reading just say so
>>744673056The DLC traded good storytelling/"dialogue" for worse everything else
>my favorite game is Outer Wildswhat kind of gamer am i?
>>744676446Neuron connection chaser
>>744666582Kek. 135IQ here. I found the game to be sinple enough a child could beat it but i found a lot of the physics novel enough to keep me entertained til the end. You have burnt out dopamine receptors
>>744667675It's completely fine for a game to be intended to be experienced only once.
>>744662124Powerful
Yes.>it gives you all mechanics (except doze off and early run end which are pure QoL) at the start - you have every tool to finish the game the moment you take off from Timber Hearth>it does everything it sets out to do very well>everything is hand crafted and not a single piece of it feels wasted>story is coherent and every detail makes sense which makes piecing together the lore and events of the story very satisfying>it has a very cathartic and bittersweet ending
>>744667675>a game should have some level of replayabilityFuck no they don'tGo back to your garbage roguelikes
>>744661819Oh boy time for the bi-daily outer reddit paid shill threads with over the top use of the spoiler function?I'm pretty sure it's a bot making the threads are this point with most of the comments being made by the same bot
>>744677341>>it has a very catharticonly for brainlets
It's fine for a playthrough, enjoyable enough but not something I'll ever want to replayAlso, since I know how to "solve" the game by getting into the secret chamber there's not a point in ever playing it again
>>744662683you are teh kind of gaymer who plays or watches a movie because of character development instead of the plot and proceeds to talk about your beloved characters for the next 2 months online
>>744677659why do you feel the need to replay games. games are not meant to be replayed, they are like movies , to be experienced once and be done with it.
>>744661819I just got this recently, I was surprised by how quickly you're able to travel the solar system, and planets seem somewhat small, but there's a lot I haven't discovered yet.
>>744661819Not really. It's a cool walking sim, but it's not like an amazing game or anything.
>>744661819No game is truly 10/10
so many weird takes, I feel disconnected from the jaded reception heremeanwhile on reddit and elsewhere online it's the complete opposite, hyperbolic enthusiasm that turned into obnoxious self parody
>>744673056I played that too and it was betterto get the 20m+ the game deseeves they should add cutscenes and a logbook maybe, youcan have Autist mode to avoid screeching from that group
>>744679367how new are you to this website?
>>744661819Yes. It does what it wants to do, no more, no less. If you hate it, that's fine. It's not trying to be AAA homogeneous garbage that reaches the widest audience possible.
>>7446818503m sales is a bit shit thoughYou could whack on some quality of life changes and at least double thatYou can have Autist Mode to get the original. Anapurina must just hate money, which is odd as the game was developed by jews
>>744661819It is a great game, but not a 10/10. a true 10 compels multiple play-throughs to fully appreciate. pic related.
>>744683373>multiple play-throughsgo play your rogeulike slop. there is a lot of it.
>>744661819Yes, it's a 10/10 puzzle game.
>>744663070>>744662124fpbp npbp clocked it immediatelynobody is replaying first person majoras mask in space since there are zero puzzles in the entire game
>>744661819Directly into my all time favs. Memorable in gameplay, design and music.
>>744687736More like cum goes directly into your anus, faggot.
>>744683373I'm not the person you replied to but I have yet to play Void Stranger and it is on my list. Every time it gets mentioned I read good opinions about it.
i haven't beaten it. i didn't much care for the loop structure. i get it but i just get bored of the game so i've washed out of it like twice.
>>7446618197.7/10
>>744688602its autistic trash, dont bother>but dude if you finish it 16 times and hit the shinny brick exactly as the bird appears on screen you can see a secret sprite!
>>744661819I would say its between 7 and 8. The intro fucking sucked and the Unity Engine style doesn't help selling the game during the first hour.
>before playing lookup guide>"talk to ugly green things, fly to veiny rock, drift past the fish, enter vessel, enter this code, the end">finish the game in 30min>???>what a waste of my 30min!
