It's the first tuesday of the month, you know the drill
New bundle in 30 mins
>>744663395People still give a shit about humble bundle?Have they even had any good bundles lately?
>>744663395I never buy these but I like seeing how shit humble bundle became.
>>744663546If you care about the headliner game it's usually a good deal.If not then not worth it.
>>74466339599% will be shit like always
Can't wait for another bunch of crap! If you guys want to keep marketing your trash bundle here you need to put some good games in it first, and you haven't since like 2016
>>744663546They had SMTVV which is the best game ever made.
https://www.humblebundle.com/games/dungeons-dragons-classics-collection-2026LOL they have a collection of old D&D shovelware.
>>744664281>SMTVV>vomit emoji
>wait all month for a discount coupon>no discount are you telling me this month sold well enough to NOT send coupons?
It's gonna be Wo Long for the bait.
>>744664449
>>744664281They had a lot of good jrpgs recently. Metaphor is looking certain at some point too.
>>744663395Will we get three months with JRPG as a headliner? One can only hope.
>>744665114I don't get it. Is this implying that apehoops and guns are popular?
>>744665114Fox in da hood!
>>744665189I don't think so with the Switch port. Maybe next year at some point.
>>744664641Turns out high-profile indie games are more sought after than mid-tier AAA
>>744665404Yeah, not sure why people insist bundles to have the same soulless AAA games
>>744665449Because people always have a GOTTA GET MY MONEY WORTH mentality. Getting a single one of those games for $15 is usually more than worth it, and then you get extras.
>>744665449It's nice for value and there is a vocal group of serial collectors that just hoard keys like dragons.
>>744663395>mfw IGN decides they're shutting Choice down
>>744665547$1 = 1 hour of gameplay is the reason there are so many open world games with plenty of filler content
into the trash
>like a dragonJrpg party!
its shit
>ANOTHER jarpigI still need to play SMTV
I've never played any Yakuza. Would I be lost?
>>744665667I swear, I haven't bough a SINGLE yakuza game and somehow have almost the entire series just from these things.
>>744665648And rogueslopOr rather cookieclicker statgrind slop.
>>744665767I keep meaning to play them because it's almost like living in japan.
Where the fuck is Yakuza 5 and 6 sega?
>>744665667WTF is decktamer?>Take your love of cards and deckbuilding into the world of roguelike gaming with KILL YOURSEEEEELF INDIE HACKS
>>744665667>Dead Cells>game from 2018Jesus Christ.
how the fuck was dead cells not bundled before?
>>744665667I liked Like A Dragon JRPG direction. I can enjoy this.
>>744666032Did too well to need to lower themself into bundle begging.
>>744665908That sounds wrong, they were in EA for a long time>The early access period was launched on May 10, 2017Huh, not as wrong as I thought. Could've sworn it was released 2016 at the latest.
>>744665667>Infinite Wealth>DeadCells +DLC>Shredder's Revenge Ultimate Edition These are pretty great, if I didn't have almost all of them already. I don't think I have Infinite Wealth. Are they doing the big super discount on the DLC for it this time? If they're not going to include the Ultimate Edition DLC, the least they can do is give a big fucking coupon for it.
>>744665114Lotta nerve coming from the shit Zelda rip off that has a cutscene show you to the door in a linear room with no other exits
>>744666259This is basically who Choice appeals to. If you don't buy games it will always bring something interesting to the table.
>>744666285Okamifags actually think they ever played a good action adventure.
>>744665667JRPG DOMINANT
>>744666681I wanted time stranger. Guess I'll have to pirate it instead.
Is that voices dude going to crack Infinite Wealth at some point or nah? I did get Gaiden via Humble last year but never got around to playing it and probably won't anytime soon so I feel like there's no point in me buying IW right now
>>744666371Though things dropped since the end of Monthly, I've kept my sub going for ages as I have the oldfag Legacy/Classic plan so I basically pay $8 or $10 . Most months I at least see one game that's worth that amount and often significantly more, though a lot of times either the "big" game(s) doesn't interest me or I already have it. However one of the best options that makes it far worthwhile even for those who buy games is >Choice discount on Humble Storewhich stacks with regular store discounts and can often do an order of magnitude better than any other legit keyseller, so long as the game is sold on Humble. >>744665114Kek. Can't imagine that's real, but would be hilarious if it was.
>games are either things i've bought or have zero interest in>discounts are only 20% at best
>>744666762>I've kept my sub going for ages as I have the oldfag Legacy/Classic plan so I basically pay $8 or $10Is that a thing still? I thought they upped all the prices now.
>>744665881Ball busting deck builder
>>744663395>>744665667>eight new games every monthBACKLOGS HATE HIMNEW RELEASES FEAR HIM
>>744663546No. To both questions.
>>744666870Hmm its still listed as the Classic plan basically 3-month at a time, at least for me. What's the new user subscription price per month or 3 month now? I thought it was $15/month but admittedly haven't looked for awhile
This one is going to get a discount coupon right?
>>744666259Shredder's Revenge was given away for free on Epic or Amazon.Still got the bundle for Yakuza, but overall pretty crap month.
What did I mean by this
>>744665667Ehh. What was Classic again, $16? I can vibe with the main three at least, but they seriously struggle to have anything else in these worth a damn
>>744665667Never played Yakuza and I may have some mild interest in others. Gotta check and decide through the month.Any important DLCs missing? Yakuza's don't seem interesting at first sight, and TMNT says it's the Ultimate Edition. Dead Cells'?
>>744667154Why are you even subbed? Just buy the specific key you want from re-sellers.
>>744667210Wasn't classic plan like $8 or something. Fuck this gay expensive earth.
>>744667210It's gone now and standardized to to $15 or 13€. If you bought in larger block maybe you haven't caught up to it yet.
>>744667417I'm on Classic through legacy by getting in at 2019 before they removed the whole thing and just stalling on most months.
>>744667154Did you pay for several months in advance?I paid for three months when they started the Choice format, and it took me years of skipping until I finally was interested in another two and used them and cancelled the subscription. At that point they had removed the benefits for continuous subscribers.
>>744666859>discounts only 20% That stacks. For instance, they just finally put Street Fighter 6 Year 3 Ultimate on sale, with a 20% discount on the store for everyone, but for Choice its 36% . A lot of thatsort of thing makes the choice stacking discount the cheapest legit keyseller around.
>>744667601now you lose the discount even if you just PAUSE rather than cancel
how do you guys keep up with your humble bundle games? I usually just redeem the only 2-3 games I give a shit about and ignore the rest
>>744667974toss me the ones you don't redeem. i only started this a couple months ago with octopath.
>>744665667>finally a month where the top 3s are stuff i haven't owned yet.Might not actually skip this months then.
>>744668062most games are locked to my region south americaThis region locking thing kinda ruined the fun of sharing codes
>played 10-20 hours of yakuza 0>an hour of the kiwami games>5 hours of like a dragon jrpg>an hour of hawaii pirate, was excited for that one but it just felt off>refuse to play judgment because the protag is ugly>think i played infinite wealth on game pass>just wanted to go to hawaii but the game kept dragging on the lame love story in japan
>>744667228I dunno if I'd play Yakuza IW as my first Yakuza. Its story tends to be viewed as pretty bad, but the gameplay better than 7. I'd say overall just okay, but for me, the shitty story soured the entire experience for me.The DLC for IW is jewish as fuck, they sold a post-game(?) dungeon, NG+, like 3 classes, and they also some optional little cutscenes with your party or something.NG+ being sold pissed a lot of people off to the point they advertised NG+ was in the base for Pirate Yakuza.
>>744668946problem with the yakuza games is, 0 is so good, that kiwami 1 was a huge downstep, it felt way weaker than 0, I should have played release order... anyway thats why i dropped kiwami 1sometime i should replay em all, but there's so many, its the one piece of rpgs
>>744668946>>744669084I usually play one of them per year.Playing them back to back sounds like a slog.
>>744668428LATAMLATAMLATAM
>>744669084bruh, y3 would drive you crazy then
>>744668946>refuse to play judgment because the protag is uglyPity because Lost Judgement is probably the peak as far as combat is concerned. Plus it's satisfying as fuck to slap the shit out of little punk kids.
>>744669352Judgement games really should have been the path forward for Yakuza, but shit happened.
the yakuza series is one of those cases where there's one really, really good game that literally everything else ends up seeming comically retarded by comparison, or you try to go through the series and find out several of the games kinda played like real ass just to build up to that game in the development pipeline. yakuza 1? rushed if okay story, rough first start. 2? great refinements and better combat flow, story is make or break on how much silly melodrama you can take and secret koreans. 3? dogass remaster and dumpster fire "remake" with pants on head retarded plot. 4? better gameplay, story goes right off the rails into pure stupid. 5? a russian roulette of too much in one game and the quality dipping hard at points while peaking at others.then basically every dragon engine game plot is comically stupid and the actual quality of gameplay/combat is schizophrenic, with highlights like lost judgement feeling lost in the tide of constant releases and increasingly bad series-wide writing.
>>744665667Humble bundle is designed for faggots with 300 games in their backlog
>>744669484japanese crime drama is simply part of series' dna. kiwami treatments have had disastrous consequences for yakuza, though.
>>744669659308 now. Dark envoy looks good.
>>744669691there's a difference between japanese crime drama and the mess that 3 and 4 became in trying to overdo their twists and reveals. and that kinda started happening more and more in the DE era too. it starts feeling less japanese crime drama, and more anime soap opera that happens to center around crime.
>>744669464I liked that the stories in these were darker than the Yakuza stuff.
>>744667612too bad the only way to get that 20% is to never ever pauseI'm a good goy who only paused once last year and it nerfed my discount
>>744669464>>744669352should i play j1 first or can i go straight to j2?
>>744669084I actually quite enjoyed Kiwami 1 one because the story scenes were more fast pace being a PS2 game. And the Majima system is a pretty fun little gimmick.
Will buy it because I am a massive fucking faggot please rape my faceHOWEVER the DLC fiasco in Yakuza IW is fucking atrocious, can I just cream api it?
>>744665667hey not bad, I'll get this
>>744670341Huh? Is that new? I was to understand that you could pause it but not actually cancel or fail a payment or whatever and not have it drop back to baseline 10% (still stacking). If you pay for multi month at least, I'm pretty sure you can pause it as I know I did a year or two back and it didn't drop mine ,but admittedly I had a "paid credit" in reserve (ie if I paid for 3 months, used the credit at payment for the first month, and then paused at the 2nd or 3rd month I'd still have 2 or 1 prepaid credits remaining etc). Maybe it doesn't work like that anymore and that's disappointing but I know at least in that particular situation I never lost my discount, but maybe its different for month-to-month subscribersFrankly anyone who's concerned and has a choice membership should write Humble - it behooves them to sell more items on their Store by allowing people to keep a discount when paused under any circumstance as they'll sell more on the Store and encourage people to resume Choice when interested by treating them well. They used to be pretty customer friendly back in the day, but IGN meddling I know fucked things up for awhile though they did grapple a lot of it back.
>>744668946I finished everything release from the studio besides pirate which i am planning to at some point. Luv me Yakuza, Luv me Judgment, Luv me new combat, Luv me old combat.
>>744665667eh, not terrible. If I didn't have Dead Cells already, I'd bite. But I'm only interested in Yakuza, *maybe* Turtlesskiperoni for me
Why only 1 dlc for dead cells. Theres like 20 of those and they are not cheap. Just bundle everything together...the base game is 1 euro anyway.
>>744663395
>>744670938Yeah it's recent, I've never let my sub lapse and I only sub for a year at a time but last year is when I noticed that the bonus resets to 10% after pausing. I assume they're trying to disincentivize people pausing so much which is extra lame for me because I rarely ever pause.
>>744665667>dead cells with a free DLCWHOA
>>744665667I have dead cells, and I checked and I even have the dead cells dlc, so that one is a bust, but it's probably worth getting for me for everything else
>>744672689Standard Choice MO, sadly. They want to hook you so you buy more DLC.
>>744672689>Theres like 20 of those aThere is 4 for a grand total of about fifteen euro.
>>744665667This will never get topped
didnt this game have troon VAs and shitty writing?
>>744672689Yeah, RGG will never achieve the heights of Judgment ever again.
>>744670751>in Yakuza IW is fucking atrocious, can I just cream api it?Yeah, you don't even need any dlc files, all is locked in the game itself.
>>744674104correct, Danny Trejo is now known as Danielle.
>>744664281Is that still up?
>>744669084I couldn't stand anything from 0 except the story, it saved me a lot of time by getting me to remove the rest of the series from my backlog. It's neat that there's so much stuff to do, but the core combat isn't particularly good and adding more tools to your moveset means doing tons of minigames and substories that do not interest me in the slightest
>>744674624>doing tons of minigames and substories that do not interest me in the slightestuhhhthat's the yakuza franchise? am i wrong kiwami 1 was that too
>>744673938I got all the souls games pretty cheap back in the day, not 10 years after release like most people here who cry about DS3 never being on sale. Honestly? DS3 fucking sucks I always dumped it halfway or more through the game
>>744674104Wait, you fuckers even consider eng dub? You fucking trogglodytes.
>>744676090Full immersion anon. We WILL speak japanese.
>>744674858Problem is they're not good. I gave pretty much every minigame a try or two, did roughly half the substories for each character, and spent a bit on the real estate stuff. Nothing has that spark that makes me want to keep playing it and many of the minigames/systems tie into another of the 80+ minigames/systems
>>744674104This is the YongYea game where the VA Director hired him so he could hang out with him, right? I'm guessing the subtitles are fucked and just using the English script anyways in this?
>>744665667pretty good top 3, guess my 10 month pause streak is overwasn't that impressed with the infinite wealth demo, but i'll give it the benefit of the doubt.
Just got the email, i already have the yakuza and the others aren't interesting to me in the least, so yet another month I won't pay 15$ plus currency conversion fee for this.
I'm on the fence since I've never played Yakuza, so it might be a bad idea to jump into the 15th or whatever game.Dead Cells looks great, but doesn't have all the DLC.Ninja Turtles looks alright I guess and has all the DLC.The indie filler all look okay except Pile Up which I'm not feeling.I already have Dark Envoy and I'm not sure I'll be able to find anyone to trade something for it.
>none of these games is AAA ball and gun so its shit.
