This game is legitimately terrible. Having been a Sonic fan all my life, growing up with the Genesis trilogy, I was always told by other fans that Generations was one of the better 3D games. Keep in mind I basically swore off this series after Secret Rings, even though I somewhat enjoyed my time with it. I saw so many people glazing the remaster that I went in with pretty high expectations.It fucking sucks, bro. The base game with Sonic has maybe 50 minutes of content, stretched out to 3 hours with the WORST boss fights of all time and blatant padding. Take away the spectacle and nostalgia bait and you barely even do any platforming.Shadow's part is somehow even worse, because there is NO platforming at all. The whole point of these games is that you are rewarded for taking risks, and here they just immediately give you tools to skip over everything, never make any decisions. The level design is practically nonexistent and I swear I must be going insane because I have yet to see anyone else point out how braindead the experience is.Just an all around insulting game, I understand boost shit has always been controversial but you cannot fucking tell me it's fine in this context. I would rather play the storybook games again.
