>start playing retro games>gaming is actually fun againWell /v/, why aren't you doing this?
>>744677946ps2 isn't retro
>>744678354haha you're old
>>744677946I've been playing Doom mods which idk if you'd consider retro gaming but they have been a lot of fun. And very hard.
>>744677946I had my retro fase at age 35.I'm in my "I have kids lets play nu-nintendo now" fase.
Where can I find a tv stand like that for my CRT? I can never find anything besides super wide modern entertainment centers.
>>744677946I upgraded my setup and to justify wasting money I started playing AAA.Now I hate games
>>744677946ps2 is retro-ish
>>744677946Because I already played all those games and I have good memory
>>744677946I've been playing FFX for the first time ever on my modchipped PS2 and on my 27" Trinitron CRT TV this year and it has been kino. Just knowing everything is on the disc (except for Dark Aeons, since I'm playing the NTSC version instead of the PAL version) and not needing an internet connection or to sign in to an account et cetera has been so refreshing. I'll buy FF7 Revelation and RE Veronica on disc for PS5 next year, then I'll be perfectly happy to just whittle away at my backlog.
>>744677946I've been doing exactly this for the last ~4 years.
>>744682898Oh yeah? What's the 4th game you ever played?
>>744686087same, i'm almost always playing some kind of 25+ year old game in my current rotation
>>744679601I'm currently using an end table for mine.
>>744679601That's just a cheap plastic piece of shit shelf, you can literally see it bowing in.Basically anything real wood (nightstand, table, dresser, entertainment center) will work fine even for the heaviest CRTs, and even cheap particle board will work for most small-medium CRTs.
>>744677946I'v figured out it isn't what you play but where you play your games, I've had more fun playing retrogames on a laptop on my bed or T.v in my livingroom then sitting at a PC chair, thank Gabe for steamlink.
