I know we're supposed to hate it because it's woke and raped our childhoods and all but this scene got me thinking...

What would it have been like if you were a Marine or a Covenant soldier marooned on the surface of Halo when the Pillar of Autumn exploded?

Could you have survived?
How long would you have survived?
How would you have died?

I'm not too big on Halo lore apart from the original Bungie games and reading the three Eric Nylund novels so idk what happened to those on the ring after it was destroyed.

in the game only john halo survives, in the books the marines have a base established on halo that evacs all the surviving marines with johnson commanding them iirc
the remake could have taken the opportunity to slightly update some lines of dialogue to reference the marines base to close some plot holes but they didn't for some reason
