Can tycoon games be saved?
>>744695379They didn't fucking go anywhere you dumb fag
>>744695379They don't have the balls to let people have that level of creative freedom again. I still remember that guy made an Aushwitz theme park and called it Holocauster Tycoon. The news picking it up and thinking it was a real game was hilarious but probably killed the company.
>>744695379Yeah, have a large publisher buy out Frontier and either force them to switch to an engine that isn't dogshit or take PZ and PC away from them and give it to someone else.>>744695454He didn't ask if they went anywhere, dumb fag.
>>744695454what are some good new ones?
>>744695379they don't need saving. they're doing perfectly fine within their niche and have good sales. roller coaster tycoon being a generational touchstone beyond the genre isn't something you can always expect..
>>744695379the key to a good tycoon game is to have two UIsa baby simple UI and a full-featured one for autists
>>744696116I like Parkitect but I'm sure someone can point out how that's a wrong answer
>>744696445Parkitect is woke. It was made by trannies.
I'm not a fan of "tycoon" games. I think they're too superficial, and the complexity comes from things the developers didn't intend.I'm a fan of A-Train, however, because the Japanese take on the genre is much more interesting, in my opinion.A-Train 9 is relatively easy, so if you know how the game works, it ends up becoming a numbers-go-up game like all Western tycoons, but it has a second layer of real depth (intended by the developers), which is the complexity of the timetables you calculate by hand. Want to build a terminal station with 6 different platforms serving multiple trains from various lines? Get some software or a pen and paper ready, because you'll need several hours of planning to pull that off.
>>744696445I don't like it when they're 3D...
