New everdrive 64 dropped
>>744698913Summercart 64 does everything I need. The new GBA Pro is nice though.
>>744700025>The new GBA Pro is nice though. There is?? I still have the x5 mini.
What's different? I already have the Everdrive 64
>>744700128Yeah, the GBA Pro adds solar and tilt sensors.
>>744700193Now I can use the link cable to play 2player
>>744700131Native N64DD, built in transfer pak and memory pak dumper, and support for bigger rom sizes. Nothing you can't workaround with an x7 really save for bigger roms but does anything really use that?
>>744702061>built in transfer pakSeriously? I have my summercart and a transfer pack but it would be cool if they copy that so I can use more than 1
>>744702195No its just a rom/save dumper. That got me excited too actually until I read the manual. Something like that could be possible with a blueretro though.
>>744702061>built in transfer pak Does it still not work with a GB everdrive though?
>>744702315I meant it has a memory pak and transfer pak dumper. Still requires a cart that reads as just the game.
>>744702309Fuck it yeah I'm reading the manual just fucking now, its just a dumper/writter. Nevermind then.
>>744702430>Still requires a cart that reads as just the gameNot sure I get it then. Whats the point if you still need the original cart?
Why not just buy original carts? Sure it's expensive but you can sell them back for more than you paid when the price appreciates and you will enjoy a 100% authentic experience.
>>744702623Its just a way to dump roms and read/write saves on original gameboy carts. There was already homebrew that did just that so yeah it's kinda pointless. Everdrive gb boots into its own OS so its not compatible with any transfer pak games. You need a single rom flashcart for that, or a cart that can act as a single game on boot.
>>744702918>Everdrive gb boots into its own OS so its not compatible with any transfer pak games. Why havent they added this as a feature? Surely there's some kind if software solution for that...
>>744703114Figure it'd need a hardware switch so no OS boots at all. Then you run into mapper types that'd have to be emulated properly on fpga. Probably could be done, but would likely up the cost for a niche feature just for pokemon stadium.
Didn't the Summercart 64 come out a few years ago now and it costs only like 50 bucks on Aliexpress.
>>744702764>but you can sell them backI want to keep my videogames
>>744703554I guess mapper types are already done. But the key thing is the game has to just be there without an OS telling it to.
>>744702764flash carts are 100% authentic
>>744700025>>744700193This thing is pretty sick. All the games I have are able to do the in-game combo and get back to the main screen except some Pokemon romhacks. I wonder why?
>>744702764>you'll miss out on the experience of pulling the cart in and out between gameswho cares
>>744698913dude just get a summercart it's like $40 and fucking saves your games right away instead of needing to hold the reset button while powering off like it's the fucking NES. does this new everdrive even do that?
>>744704142Thats like 2 everdrives ago
>>744698913lol what size SD card do you need to fit all 3 of the N64's games?5MB? 10?
