Yes. I grew up in shitty ass NYC but my parents definitely preferred me staying inside playing games vs being outside and possibly getting in trouble or killed or some shit. I also grew up in an era where kids still played outside, went to after school programs and day camps, so a lot of time spent outside and shit still but whenever I wasn't, I was definitely glued to the game.
