I am really not enjoying play 2 again. Maybe its my fault from going from 1 to 2 back to back but 2 is just filled with so much tedium. The quests and the blade nodes are just so annoying. I have played all of the games now and beat 1/3. I dropped 2 when you get to the gay council somewhere with giant circular structures and I dropped X before getting a skell. I find the pseudo-MMO style of content design extremely grindy. I always try to brute force the main quest because I actually enjoy the story but end up having to grind side stuff and if that happens too aggressively I drop the game. I will still probably buy the new one in spite of not liking the games loads. Am I missing something?

Just running around maxing Affinity Trees now in XB2 on my NG+ file. Genuinely how do people tolerate starting brand new files again and doing this tedious stuff all over again (grinding out cc's to get your desired blade, maxing Affinity, filling out the charts for every blade, etc)?
