I know /v/ find Chrono Trigger easy but what was the boss you had more difficult time to deal with?
Is this game gameplay heavily or is >3/4ths VN with the remaining being walking around and fights? I might play it if it is the latter

>>744701647A few of the sidequest bosses are quite tricky if you can't figure out their gimmick quickly enough, I remember pic related in particular took me a few tries. There was also the desert boss that if you didn't bring a Water caster with you you were basically fucked
I forget the name of the boss but in the yellow hued snow/ash sky area with chains there's some big ass boss named Atlas or Gaia or some shit that rocked my shit so hard I was convinced I was supposed to lose. I forget what I did differently but after that I never ran into another issue

>>744701647Black Omen in general I recall serving as sort of a spike in difficulty. There are a lot of counters on this one that'll punish you for spamming screenwide spells, monsters with various absorb elements making you pick the right ones, those that have MP Shave or even instantdeath if you do not take them out in one hit like the Aliens, etc. Not all of them bosses but in general feels like a proper challenge for the finale.

If it's not, you eat the Flare and remember which one it is before hitting the next one to see if it's the one you're able to damage it. Then when you find it wail on it as much as you can until he shuffles and you have to start guessing again.I like to think Son of the Sun is the primary reason Ayla's village has all the Ruby items that offer a guard against fire, I think it's suggested you go to Ayla's village first for trading those items then do Son of the Sun as your first side quest.
