i liked the first one but this has got to be one of the most poorly designed games ive ever played not once but TWICE so far there have been stretches with a resource-intensive level culminating with a boss fight, followed immediately by a level where you get swarmed with mutants and second boss fight, all without the game ever giving you more than one med kit to recover from the first boss fight, forcing you to basically do a ridiculous no-hit run of an entire second level+boss fight where enemies are getting in your face constantly are these people retarded?

The whole game is built around soft-locking the player when you fuck up once without you even realizing it, then 5 levels down the road its impossible to progress so you have to go back 5 levels and redo everything to you can come out with an extra medkit or an extra 2 minutes of filters this time

Metro is a potential man franchise. It constantly promises realism, military survival horror, increasingly open world maps, and then you play the game and it ends up a literal hallway shooter. You never get to explore the Metro freely.
