Yeah I hate it when big named characters pop up in 40k games. Storywise its shit because I know the writers aren't allowed to kill them. And the whole 'le million worlds omg the setting is SO BIG dude' meme gets really undermined when the same characters/regiments keep popping up in everything, it makes the world feel small instead

Star Wars is also really susceptible to this trap.
