This what annoyed me in 3.5's story. Everything falls into this about ideology and soft power propaganda that it got predictable and corny. It's essentially a death sentence for a Chinese game to portray a fictional China to have form of corruption and evil, and the bad guys are so neutered, they're not allowed to speak lest people might agree with the bad guys. It's like Kira vs Rau in GSEED, except Rau doesn't fight back by staying silent while Kira moralfags himself to victory.

Dunno. I just started playing this a few weeks ago.
The characters annoy me.
They seem to exist solely to be sold in banners. Only a few stick around for any appreciable length of time.
The storytelling of the game was a chore too. At least until I hit Ragguna. Things seem to have picked up a bit here.
I'm halfway torn between dropping it and continuing to see if it gets better.
