>game needs pic relatedi n order to be enjoyableWhat's her name, /v/?
basically any game made after 2007
>>744716584Games have only gotten easier, though. Unless you mean using it in order to ease the tedium.
>>744716478Every JRPG needs a speed hack
Me and my friends upped the droprates of gear crates in EDF. Fuck that grind
>>744716670i meant speedhack, nobody actually uses cheat engine to cheat
>>744716771FF4 is pretty non-grindy, but yeah, a lot of modern JRPGs are definitely grindy.
>>744716771JRPGs are fundamentally bad video games. Just watch someone else play it and skip through the fluff. They are just like "movie games". Without the story, they are not enjoyable. The only people who enjoy the gameplay mechanics of JRPGs are low functioning Autists, and I mean this genuinely and evidence seems to suggest that. Just like Autistic kids have compulsions around lining things in order of scale, JRPG Autists have an obsession with grinding. It is an irrational, time-wasting obsessive act that is entirely detached from the essence of video games.
>slow ass game crashes when you turn on speedhack
>>744716478>Accidentally clicked the shortcut during an EAC game>Cheat tool violation and game shutdownsworst week of my life waiting for that ban, never got it.
>>744716478Workers and Resources. The default fast forward is laughably slow
>>744716478Any RPG
>>744716478EDF
>>744716478Every game with grinding, money and skill trees.I don't have dozens of hours to waste on collecting shit, cheat engine and immediate fun here we go.
>>744716478Underrail, just for the speed hack tho
>>744716805I do. But only if it's really funny. Reducing the refire interval to 0 in any game that has a machinegun. For the NPCs too, if I can figure it out.
>>744716478Cheat Engine has been literal malware for years now
Underrail>jetski costs thousands>jetski parts cost thousands>merchants that deal with jetski don't have thousands>N-NO YOU CAN'T SELL JETSKI YOU DIDN'T PAY FOR BEFORE BECAUSE... BECAUSE YOU JUST CAN'T>SUFFERING IS GOOD AND IT'S THE WHOLE POINTHow about I steal an Aegis Jetski, park it inside the guy's place and add 3k charons to my inventory instead?
>>744716779>>744717510Fail once cause you both sucked, leave lobby always your type.
>>744716478Any game from the era of Spellforce. That one is impossible to play without speedhacking.
>>744716478Any game that tries to waste my time with retarded grind.
>>744716478Steam version of /\/\anhunt
>>744716478Any open world game with a Stamina meter that drains when you run outside of combat. There are just some game design philosophies that don't mesh together, and that's probably the prime example.
>>744721136What's the matter anon? You don't like your press forward and pause occasionally resource management minigame?
>>744716478Elden Ring
>>744721136Limited stamina outside of combat is one of the most asinine design decisions that come to prominence in the ps3 era and devs still somehow think it's a good thing.
>>744716478Control
>>744716478Instant encounters and 2x speed make undertale genocide a actually fun and fast gauntlet challenge, having to clear out everyone in one lengthy battle with no healing is fucking cool
I encountered a few singleplayer games with counter measures to stop you from using that thing. Why the developer would do that?
>>744716478Dark Souls 2 during its multiplayer heyday due to soul memory bullshit and needing to grind for cracked red eye orbs. No thanks, I'll just CE in 99 of all the consumables my character needs for invasions.
>>744721136Yeah, this really is bullshit. I'm not sure if elden ring was the first game to get this right, but thank god stamina is unlimited until you're actually in combat. It's such a no-brainer. why the fuck should sprinting cost stamina if you're just running across the map? Is it really that engaging to constantly watch a green bar go down and then let go of the sprint button when it's almost full and jog forward while waiting for it to refill and start sprinting again?
NFS Carbon, underground 2 and most wanted to a lesser extent.>make games with a pretty wide selection of cars>player can never engage with said selection meaningfully as money payouts are so low and grinding races stalls progressionCarbon is hit particularly hard as the career mode is so short.
>>744716478Pillars of Eternity, just so you can put the speed of the game to 5x, because that underground dungeon with the trillion floors is torture.
>>744721546you vill have ze fun in only ze approved manner!
>>744716478Underrail, sometimes the vendors hate you, not buying shit or selling anything worthwhile
>>744721769Wait, wouldn't you get banned for that?
>>744722480weakI used it to change my portrait on a existing save
>>744721546Same reason sports games have comeback AI. I remember reading an interview about Madden long years ago where the devs knew that without that, people would consistently beat the CPU 100-0, so in order to spite players, they made sure that if you got far enough ahead, the CPU would just cheat, even on the easiest difficulties, thus ruining your shutout.
>>744723063>implying dark souls does client side checks
>>744723063What would get you shadowbanned and what was safe in DaS2 was always a bit up in the air. But in general, as long as you limit to what is technically feasible, and you only boot up cheat engine with the game disconnected from the internet, and close out and restart before restarting in online mode, you should be fine. So I'd mainly use it to increase drop rate to 100% to avoid needing to grind for rare drops or for item duping and such. Better to stay away from directly editing things like your stats or soul memory, that might get you fucked. Then again, I don't actually know the limits of what you could get away with and not trip any warnings for the online anticheat. So I always played it super safe.Same shit applies to Elden Ring too despite the game using EAC. Just boot up the game in offline mode, use CE, and quit. I do this if I want to play around with a build based on consumables/perfumes/pots because I don't feel like wasting my time grinding for ingredients.
>>744716478Assassin's Creed 2. I tried the mod that uses Cheat Engine scripts to give you more control over that game's half-baked parkour system, but I dropped it because it was too cumbersome to use in actual gameplay. The main problem was that the mod replaces multiple combat/interact buttons with parkour buttons so to play the game you need to be constantly toggling on/off the parkour mod by clicking the analog stick. Besides that it was also buggy and had complicated controls. With all that said it's still impressive that it was even somewhat functional considering it's just using cheat engine scripts.
>>744716478Lords of the Fallen (2014)
>>744716478EDF 6 so I can skip the weapon grind
>>744716478Holy shit lmao maybe you are just retarded
Nioh 2 Skills Expanded. Team Ninja was too lazy to think of more ways to include more of the moveset of a weapon on a controller. Also is there a mod for Middle Earth: Shadow of War that functions like skills expanded? I want to have more of the abilities available, or at least be able to hotswap them mid combat
>>744716805This thing removes unnecessary grinding and one-shots of enemies, correcting the crooked game design.
>>744716478any rpgmaker hentai gane
>>744724687>i'm a shitter with no patienceRead books, retard.
>>744721054rts games are slow asf in general
>>744716478Digimon Story Cyber Slut, Nioh 2, Remnant From the Ashes, Last Epoch.
>>744721310>Using stamina turns it into exhaustion lowering your max until you rest There, now stamina usage matters outside of combat
>>744716478MGS5Farming the resources is unbearable even with money spent on fob at max level.
I was giving Beast of Reincarnation a try and broke out the speedhack for the UNSKIPPABLE cutscenes.
>>744716478The only time I used this was when playing Trails of Coldsteel 1 and 2 because I was not going to play through this shit 3-4 times to see all character conversations. In Trails in the Sky you just talk to people without a barrier and these limited conversions where not even of the same quality for character and worldbuilding as Trails in the Sky so it was extra retarded.
>>744716478I use it to cheat on Star Wars games. Just the usual speedhacks and tweaking numbers from time to time.
>>744726950You litterally need ng+ and buy the points reward to get all the conversatons in a single playtrough.
Allowing full battery regen in Human Revolution, instead of only 1 battery regenning at a timeMakes powers that actually take whole batteries at once feel worth using without carrying an entire palette of candybars in your pocketsThe regen is slow enough that it won't save you if you massively fuck up but you can do more with it while exploring
>>744726349That just turns into never sprint anywhere unless "resting" is very short and doesn't require a checkpoint or inn or whatever
>>744716478Anything with a grind.So, mostly everything nowadays.
>>744727034I just cheated all convos being open by setting the currency points you spend on those to infinite. Just clear out the map instead of picking.
>>744723063Member when from soft shut down all multiplayer funcionality because you could inject malware via their games? I 'member.
>>744727374I 'member them closing the PTDE version of DS1's multiplayer because they wanted you to just buy the remaster. I'm surprised they didn't do that to the OG DS2 also
>>744727487That is tied to remote code execution exploit I've mentioned. They simply didn't bother to bring PTDE back after that.I'm surprised they fixed it for DS2 to be honest.
>>744727094I still sprint everywhere in Outward despite that being how it works. Chug some potions if they're available or a quick nap before a dungeon.
>>744716478Wow I didn't know this but they actually released this with native Linux support and it works with old tables? Thats a game changer
