Have you ever regratted buyeding a game?
Closest I got was buying Brink on release day but thankfully the dude at Gamestop convinced me to buy it used in case it was as bad as he heard.
>>744727156he/she/they is/are stupid
>>744727156yes i regretted buyed boughting many of the recent games that have been cracked and will shrimply not be buying new games since they will be crackeddevelopers are dhalit now so why should i buy?
>>744727156Outer Worlds and to a lesser extent Dragon's Dogma 2.
had this same fucking experience, not only that but it's also shitty turn based combat boring af. dropped after 30 mins
>>744727156Nope. I only buy games I want to play.
Most recent was Dread Delusion. It's like an idiot who's never played an RPG in his life but watched videos on it decided to make one. Complete shit.
>>744727156stop spamming these threads, the tranny comics arent funny anymore
>>744727317I think it looks cool but yeah I've tried picking it up multiple times and it just doesn't work for me.
>>744727156Skyward Sword
>>744727156>Hates turn basedbrainlet confirmed!
I bought skyrim at launch due to hype as a kid and turned out I dont like the bethesda game style
>>744727156I didn't buy it, but I quickly got bored of Black Desert online. Couldn't care for the story after 20 minutes and the HUD was too distracting.
>>744727641Turn based combat is for brainlets actually>press one button and wait for animation to playWowee! This requires SO much brain power!
>>744727734Only if the game is well designed.
Kill yourself tranny comic poster
>>744727156This happens nearly every time I give a roguelite a shot lol, I never learn but thankfully steam is good for refunds. I'm not against the genre but I'm also not going to sit here and let you reskin Slay the Spire and pretend it's worth 20 dollars.
>>744727156Yeah, Final Fantasy VII Remake was so bad that I not only regretted it, I learned to never buy another FF ever again.King of Fighters XV is another one I really regret, it taught me that I am totally incompetent at traditional fighters and should stick to anime style air dashers. Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is another regret, I learned that I can't handle tag fighters unless they're as simple as Dragon Ball FighterZ, even then though I'm quite horrendous at timing assists.
>>744727718I did buy it for like 15 bucks when it was buy 2 play but uninstalled it after a few hours because I hated it. Not sure why I didn't refund it honestly.
>>744727734Turn based is superior if the game creates emergent puzzle turns similar to chess but games like Pokemon and SMT have convinced people that turn based = wait for permission to use Fire Blast and one shot the enemy.
Because i do a little research before actually buying a game i haven't been burned since aliens:colonial marines
>>744727156Bastion (A good game but I didn't care for it)Judge Dredd lightgun game for the PS1 (It was overpriced and lasted 20 minutes, this was as a kid and I feel bad for asking my parents for it to this day)Hollow Knight (This is the last time I listen to zoomers about anything)
>buyed>boughted>wonned>etcI can't be the only one who thinks this shit is annoying as fuck.
>>744727156I bought KeeperRL and I think it's quite bad.
>>744728089It is yeah but people do it specifically to get your reaction
>>744728017The only time i have tolerated it is darkest dungeon 1 because of positioning and short roguelite mission structureIf i have to deal.with turn based combat for more than an hour at a time it gets stale incredibly quickly
>>744727156she do be a cutie, its okay to spam them every once in a while, as a treat
>>744727734Surely if I give you the controller just before the Lucifer fight in SMT 3, you'll beat him in one try, right?
>>744728134I never see anyone call it out. It's just another shitty nu/v/ """meme""" that's been allowed to fester.
I bought divinity os1 and 2 a few months ago on sale and I'm not interested in playing them anymore
>>744728113Why'd you buy it instead of playing the free version first?
I pre-ordered Fallout 76 because I was an idiotic 15 year old. Also Starfield. I just cant trust Bethesda to make anything good now
>>744727156It's the only time I ever odered a special edition. It was censored so much by NoA Treehouse, It radicalized me
>>744728162Agree but yeah it depends on the game. Darkest Dungeon is a good example, something like Dragon Quest XI is an example where it's traditional turn based but feels alright for some reason, whereas yeah something like Pokemon just felt like shit to play. Takes too long and it's so easy a baby could beat it. I can't fault turn based games as long as chess exists.
>>744728401Most fun I ever had with Starfield was playing for 4 hours and then actually arguing with the Steam rep about why I should get my pre-order refunded despite Steam not offering refunds for anything over 2 hours played let alone something pre-ordered. Long story short: I fucking won.
>>744728212Probably not because i am unfamiliar with the gameBut i did not fail a single combat in monster hunter stories 2 before i got bored of it within 5 hours
>>744727734You can summarize any game like this, you're aware
>>744727156Neptunia Sisters Vs Sisters for me personally.I don't know what's wrong with this game but across 3 difference computers, 6 keyboards, 2 controllers, playing with both default and rebinded controls, I cannot do normal attacks in combat, so I can't finish the tutorial. I know I have enough AP, the game just refuses to do the attacks when I press the button. I had to have my friend create a save file just pas the tutorial so I could keep playing, but playing without the ability to do normal attacks makes every fight just run in a circle until I can do special attacks, while my party members are dead. I've tried for what feels like years to figure this out to no avail, and even worse yet, that save file corrupted so now I'm right back at the start.tl;dr, fuck action combat in Neptunia games, give my turn-based combat back.
>>744727156Yeah, I regretted buying For Honor.
>>744728567That game is notoriously easier than Pokemon, so much so that they stapled that stupid rock paper scissors minigame to literally every attack and it still didn't offer a real challenge
>>744728573There is no single action game where you can win by only pressing one button and not moving
>>744728664Someone post the FFXV webm.
>>744727156Callisto Protocol is the only game I outright regret buying. I love Dead Space and was caught up in the hype but ended up with complete rancid dogshit.
>>744728768I'm gonna admit i'm moving the goalposts with this one but final fantasy doesn't count because the only good final fantasy with real time combat is SOP
>>744727687I originally was not going to buy it, but for some reason a nearby store had broken the street date and put it on their shelves a day earlier and I happened to be shopping there during that day so bought it on a whim. Was somewhat pointless because I bought it on PC and the Steam version only became playable on the official launch day.
fucking phantom pain, felt like a rugpull after what they showed in ground zeroes>>744727734this, is baby too scared to play real time strategy?
>>744727156Yes, The Dead Linger is a game where in its early development was quite fun; however, since they were probably a young developing studio, probably could not keep up with the hype train they built, and while I wish I could refund it. I just hope the developers well.I don't even know if you can still surf on a board, in The Dead Linger, and also boarding up houses was really fun.
>>744728235it's an old ass /biz/ meme response to thirdie shitcoin shill threads. "thanks op boughted $100 shitcoin"
Some game called Oxio or somethingI thought it was a freespace or elite dangerous thing but it was multiplayer only and the servers were dead dead and couldn't refund for some reasonI also have a ton of games I've bought from bundles and sales I'll never playI'm much more picky these days
>>744727156dirt rally 2.0
>>744727156The core game loop is so fun and immersive, but holy fuck what were they thinking with that cringe plot and unskippable cutscenes. I want to be a good old' space redneck, listening to country music and working my ass off for this absurd capitalistic supercorporation. I do not want to listen to niggers talking about communism. One of few refunds I ever did.
>>744727156>troon based combat>troon doesnt like it
This is not an actual thing because turn based sucks as opposed to RTWP but had to do itArcanum does it the best, have BOTH
>>744729747I forgot about this, what a disappointment. All they had to do was add more ship designs and bigger ships and focus on the puzzle aspect. But no, read the literature about unionization chud
>>744728089>>744728134>>744729186you lost timmy
>>744727156When I was a kid I thought Blast Corps would be awesome based on the title and cover art, and I got my mom to buy it for me. When it turned out it was in fact NOT a game about mech mercenaries as I assumed and was instead a game about awkwardly drifting contruction vehicles into buildings for some contrived '90s action movie plot bullshit, I was so disappointed that I begged my mom to return it and get ANYTHING else. And that's how my 3rd N64 game ended up being Cruisin' USA.
>>744728903Funnily enough in SoP, you can perfect block/reflect things to death without movingAlthough it does require setup and at the very least a few additional pressesI recall doing it when trying to breach the higher difficulties at first
>>744727242And that's why I didn't buyeded it
>>744727156
>>744727156>wow this game Void Stranger looks pretty neat>buy it>start taking notes and shits>2 hours later>wait a fucking second, I hate sokoban!
>>744727156What? Typing like a fool isn't funny anon, what if idiots feel welcome?
>>744727156Bought Deltarune chapter 5 when it came out.Was tired of pirating it every time a new chapter came out. Also every chapter prior had been fairly decent, so I figured it was a safe bet.I definitely should have waited for the reviews. That shit was pure ass.
>>744731006What does that matter? You're already here.
>>744727156ive regretted having to hear from OP
>>744727156I bought the last edition of Skyrim (I had always pirated it before) on sale because I wanted to try out a few story mods, only to find out because Todd released so many slightly mod breaking versions of it most of the modding community had a gentleman's agreement to stay in the version prior to it.
>>744727156Elementallis. What amateur hour design. “Very positive” my ass.
>turn baseddetermining if you like stuff based on the genre instead of content immediately makes you subhuman 60iq
>>744731939This, except rollslop, I'M SO FUCKING TIRED OF SOULS CLONES LET ME DIE
>>744731939>you WILL play what you don’t want to play
