How's the single player campaign in this, and how lost would I be if I played 2 first? It's been in my Steam library for ages and idr even buying it.

>How's the single player campaign in this
solid, multiplayer is the core experience tho
>and how lost would I be if I played 2 first
not at all
>It's been in my Steam library for ages
you still need a gEAy launcher to play it sadly

It was an okay but completely forgettable.
People cried their eyes out and called it the best thing ever because your robot dog fake dies like 5 times in the cutscenes.

It's really good. Imagine a COD MW2/BlackOps era campaign but with parkour and giant robots. It's really good for what it is and worth playing if you already have it anyway.

It doesn't matter if 2 is your first one because the first game was online only multiplayer and is unplayable after being shut down. It had a "campaign" integrated into the online matchmaking which was actually cool for its time but you can no longer access any of it. If you like the story from TF2, it's worth checking out the story cutscenes from TF1 on youtube to get an idea of what happened in it. It has a lot of recurring characters like Blisk and Briggs and some cool sequences like the Demeter mission where the filthy terrorists nuke the whole planet and everyone dies in the end, kinda like that nuke mission in COD4.

I'd try it, but I assume there are too few people still playing it for that.

Really good, every mission is different also is one of the last good story mode ever in these last 16 years.
