Piracy does not negatively impact a game it is made well, priced accordingly and sold competently, and even then the "negative impact" is just the publisher's own incompetence.
Denuvo does not convert pirates into paying customers in any meaningful quantity, its only purpose is to make things easier on marketing firms by slowing down the initial waves of criticism from people playing truly shit games. A pirate who naturally doesn't value his time, will also have the available time to ward people off of a product that is not worth playing within days if not hours of downloading the game, whereas someone who just bought a game and has a job will likely take weeks to tell people about how shit something is, which is in addition to pirates outnumbering those wagies by several orders of magnitude. This is also why Denuvo is priced the way it is, since it gives a reasonable reason for publishers to drop it after a period without admitting that it did nothing to stop piracy and was only used to bamboozle their customers who are now holding a turd.
Good games that are sold competently at a reasonable price can only benefit from piracy, since you get people recommending it and other games in your catalog even when they weren't in your target audience.
