She tests your mind reading to discern that you're real. And once she does that, you no longer have an option to get out or resist. First you have to pick one of her options, and eventually it's just "EQUIP / EQUIP" and "PROCEED / PROCEED".Combine that with how saying Stop doesn't work in chapter 5. How she starts Proceeding by her own will. The way it happened in chapter 4 was literally because she wanted it to be that way. She wanted the test to work, she wanted Kris to drag her down to Hell, so we have no option but to prove the test and drag her down. The thorn ring is practically incidental at this point. With or without it she is in control of us as long as she is "awake". I don't know if that's because her Determination overpowers Kris's or what. But it's true. We are the raped.
