This is not a proper point and click game. You can move with WASD, there are multiple sequence that barely involve clicking anything and there are less than a dozen actual puzzles in the entire thing. Half of them require virtually no thinking because the game outright gives you the solution without abstractions or hints. The majority of clickable objects are just paintings that play brief animations or make fart sounds. The different commands mostly serve as flavor text and it's all done in such a cheap way. Every negative review mentions the combat and how it's practically worthless, adding nothing to the experience. The worst thing about this game is how short it is, but how brazen the padding is. Some areas are stuffed with content, but the majority only exist to make the world feel bigger than it really is. It doesn't matter if it was made by one guy, when you lay everything out and look objectively at how much game is here to chew on, it's maybe 30 minutes of stuff spread out across 3 hours, 6 if you want to be a completionist... except because of the way it's made you need 10 hours. It's just a bad game. People need to stop being afraid to say something is bad. If it were good then you would be able to look past the aesthetic, ignore the creator and just focus on the game in a vacuum. And keep in mind that the people who play this game and then go on to become developers themselves will have a bad game as their frame of reference, and so the cycle will perpetuate and soon every single genre will worsen as a result.

All appearances of the surgeon's wife were fucking creepy as fuck but in the end you don't even get to see her again beyond a scene of her rising in the secret room, making mellow sit in a chair and ask questions to the surgeon to get answers for the things that happened in the game is such a bad way of going about it, the mysticism and mystery of these games are what makes them get talked about, why make a literal wikipedia NPC answer all your questions before one of the endings? I feel like that just ruins it. I still liked the game a lot since it feels like soul was poured into it but damn
