>I'm so glad I bought an AMD graphics card for my PC
>>744945781your PSU can't handle your PC
>>744945781Easily solved by updating the kernel and mesa.
Only AMD card worth buying in 2026 is 9070 XT
>>744945781My XTX works great, but they've really been dropping the ball with software lately.
>>744945781Literally NEVER happened on my full AMD computer
I got an a770 16gb LE.got it 4 months in so intel had unfucked the drivers by thenShits worked great with zero problems and it was cheap.

That popup right there is the one and only reason I needed to switch to Nvidia and never look back. Nobody can tell me shit about muh drivers when my AMD card was giving me that popup 10-20 times per day. I would just stop playing some days because I wouldn't be able to so much as finish a level/mission/round whatever. Now I just play my games and I don't worry. How is AMD even a serious competitor?
Everyone knows you get an AMD GPU for Linux, not Windows
>>744947938Did you just post a fucking 10 year old benchmark at 1080p?
>>744948304???Why are you so obsessed with 10 year olds?

You can solve this issue by using linux
I had this constantly with my 7900 XTX and it was because it couldn't handle the stock OC. Had to get it exchanged. New one is fine though.
I have an AMD gpu and an AMD cpu and my PC kicks ass.
>>744949035you just needed to undervolt or underclock a bit, but exchanging it works as well i guess.
>>744945781Works on my machine. Either update the drivers or roll it back if you updated the drivers.

I had a friend who bought an HP prebuilt like 5 years ago and it would shut down while he was playing Cyberpunk or other demanding games. The proprietary PSU was rated for 400w, while Nvidia recommends 500w for the 3060. We installed an auxillary PSU, but it would still shut down. In the end, we swapped it out for a Chinese RX580, and the shut downs stopped altogether.

>>744952521Plenty of people are buying AMD now that the PC hardware reviewers are recommending AMD cards, even if they're loathe to do so. You just can't argue against the price when you're getting roughly 95% of a comparable nvidia card for several hundreds less.

>>744952521AMD has not dropped. My 9070xt went up $250 since I bought it in march

>>744954243
>>744948176>How is AMD even a serious competitor?AMD is significantly better at real rasterization than Nvidia at lower price-points, FineWineâ„¢ architecture is also not a meme and AMD drivers hit a healthy stride later in the card's life. Early adoption means you're in for it, long-term adoption means you get the same experience as Nvidia or better (usually better, Nvidia doesn't have a good track record of driver stability either honestly)All the fucking better if you're on Linux where the drivers are baked right into the kernel and are community-developed, even better performance margins and stability and without needing a driver suite, you take LACT if you don't want to do overclock tweaks in BIOS and that's the end of it
>>744945781As if nvidia drivers aren't pajeet tier with the 5000 series

>>744949196If I'm paying for a card advertised to run at a certain OC and it can't then I want my money back or a card that can.
I had an AMD RX570 and an RX580, and both would crash randomly, not BSOD or shut down or reset my PC, just flicker the screen and pop up this fun message here >>744945781After that I got a NVIDIA GTX1080 and it's been good for 6 years so far
