Playing Lies of P: Overture (already beat the base game) and replaying Cyberpunk 2077 when I need to take a break. I got a Steam controller, and the combination of stick+triggers for driving and gyroscope aiming is pretty great.

I'd prefer both spells and clans to be consistent, yeah. Spells are more important I would agree, since it more directly ties into combat. Think of it this way though: Imagine if every spell was, instead of given names like Agi, Zio, Bufu, was "Fire Magic Missle", "Electric Magic Missle", or "Ice Magic Missle". It's why everything being an "ogre" in that translation irritates me, it's just lazy.
An If.. translation on PS1 would be fantastic, especially since it has music not on the SNES version.

Got myself a MiSTer a while back and decided to play the Final Fantasy series. 1 was janky, but I can appreciate that it was 'new' at the time. 2 was awful. I had to use cheats just to make it bearable. 3 was cool. Not much else to say there. 4 was great, very enjoyable adventure. 5 was much better than I expected. I actually enjoyed the light-hearted humor and I especially enjoyed the Ability mechanic. I just did the Train Suplex meme in 6 and I'm starting to see what all the fuss is about.

When I'm trying to figure out what version of a particular game I wanna play I'll start looking up version differences which can be give or take and pretty cool. Look up all the different versions of Ys 1, that game has been made a lot of different ways with different art styles. Hell, the Famicom version even has some new/different levels and music.

ZA Legends. It's been dorito fueled to hell with its Rocket League ass soundtrack at times and Fortnite objectives. This game is made for zoomers but I have to say the actual battle system is a bit interesting. Not as good as the standard turn based but better than Legends Arceus.

I got my friend in to FFX, he loved it like I did, but unlike me, he was a rich kid and bought X-2 immediately on release.
Welp, it didn't take long for me to go visit him and see him boot the game for the first time.
The cringe, the cringe was too much.
I sat there watching him play it for like two or three hours, silently unable to put to words my mental dialogue that was screaming that maybe this game wassn't made for the FFX audience.

Needless to say, I didn't buy the game.
It's just not FFX without Wakka, Auron, Kimahri or Tidus in the party, let alone young Rikku or Lulu

Anyone else have balanced interests to keep keep gaming fresh? I basically chip away at games rather than binging them now between painting gunpla, watching anime, reading manga/VNs, shopping addiction to plastic figurines/hentai/DVDs/physical copies of games and consoles/etc., and baking. I've never been happier. I feel like the real red pill is being too distracted to think negative thoughts or dwell on how shitty things are. It’s interesting to me how different the aging process is between individuals. I’m almost 40 but still look the same as I did in my early/mid 20s. Sunscreen, moisturizer and generally not emoting much seems to be the secret. I suggest everyone takes skincare seriously.

I mostly just play fortnite and roblox with my kids. I would probably play fortnite even if I didn’t have kids though. Video games have been creatively and technologically stagnant for about 20 years now. The future I used to imagine for the medium didn’t happen at all. I thought we’d be playing photorealistic VR games by now.
