ck3, an objectively better game

I have yet to try any games like civilization or hearts of iron and such, they just seem really intimidating and difficult games to get into, is this accurate or am I overthinking?
>>
>>745182256
They're much less complicated than they seem honestly.
>>
>>745182256
Except dominions. It's even more complicated than it seems.
>>

The newer civ games are fairly simple.
HoI4 has a bunch of bloat mechanics that makes it more complicated than it needs to be when most 90% of players just use meta division layouts and build the same things every game.

How do I get into Strategy games?
I'm a massive Star Wars fan and love playing fag wars mods in games. The catch is they're all almost exclusively for RTS's and 4x's, with a few exceptions like Starfield, but you can't pay me to play that shit.
I remember playing Halo Wars and barely being able to clear the campaign on MEDIUM difficulty, and I tried Star Wars Empire at War and literally couldn't even beat the tutorial. Are strategy games beyond me as an FPS-pilled retard-kun, or is there hope for me yet? What strategy game is good for actual drooling retards to learn the basics?

EU4 > CK2 > EU5 > CK3 > V3
HoI4 is really different because of how it is focused on the war aspect so it doesn't count.

Factorio
that'll tell you whether you're actually autistic, just a sperg, actually just an engineer (any flavor) or not; it's a great litmus test

Ghost Recon Breakpoint, but I pretend it takes place in Strangereal.

It depends on what you want to play, 4x, RTS, grand strategy and total war games are all strategy but all have really different gameplay.
If you want action focused strategy stick to RTS and total war games and then maybe you can branch out to 4x and GSG
>>
I tried so hard to get into and enjoy GSG but I just couldnt.
Tried HOI4, CK3, and Imperator.
Imperator was the only one I could kind of get into and that's probably because I am a Rome-fag.
But in general it's just learning very complicated mechanics only to sit there bored for hours hitting fast forward and not doing much of anything.

You have to be a weirdo that enjoys watching funny numbers go up or painting the map I guess. It helps if you can immerse in it, like if you feel connected to the countries you are playing, like you said you are a romaboo so playing as Italy to try to reform Rome, things like that make the game.
>>
>>745182256
Civilization is a baby game even women can play, HoI can be complicated but only up to 4 because 4 is braindead retarded because its primary audience just wants to do meme runs

I'm reading the Star Wars EU right now and the idea of playing through the Yuuzhan Vong war with the Empire at War mod is super interesting to me.
Eventually I want to get around to doing an X4 playthrough with the Star Wars mod.
Oh yeah, and I saw there's a Stellaris mod that basically has a 1-to-1 recreation of the fag wars galaxy, which is like a direct injection of serotonin directly into my brain.
I'm fucking pissed that all these experiences are basically inaccessible to my retarded ass and I really want to fix that.
>>
>>745187275
There is a star wars mod for HoI4 but that was years ago so dunno if it's still getting updated.
>>
>>745187181
What's a good one to start with for someone totally new to the series?
>>
>>745189784
5 or 6. 5 is probably easier in terms of having much fewer systems and shit to learn and have to interact with over the course of a game, it's just a very streamlined game even if some things like global happiness are dumb.

Persona list, in no specific order:
Terraria (with mods for more content)
Factorio (with mods for more hostile environments)
Aeterna Noctis (good metroidvania, easily 100 hours)
Monster Hunter franchise
Fighting games (sitting in the lab practicing, not for everyone)
Driving games (min-maxing lap times, can be highly addictive)
Tabletop simulator(dune boardgame by direwolf, i think it is has its own community, the game also is available on steam) very fun easily sunk 1000+ hour on it.

I got some other games but you have
