Why are comebacks even considered impressive in this game when the game awards you with two full seconds of invincibility for dying?

Yes at the very top level steve/sonic/game and watch are obnoxiously broken but at a normal person level you can still overcome them with fucking d3 or whatever as long as you know your main's strengths. You're not getting anywhere in melee maining mewtwo or bowser without going supremely autistic and even then you're only getting 10% the wins you could with marth or a spacie.

Compare that to brain dead Fox or Falco who just do an easy ledge dash input and get to fly across the stage with a fully invincible aerial.
