I boughted it and have been playing it. Have about 10h in here are my thoughts>art is cute>music is good>it gets atmosphere quite right. Lots of rain, lampposts flickering in the night, tons of polish on the little things like walking through dandelions and making all the seeds fly out. Very nice ambience>collecting resources feels satisfying, though I hope it's not too grindy long-term>farming seems decent. You have to build your planters and grow them in there on shelves, so the game makes lots of use of verticality being 2d. So far I've got a tall tower of grops with some sprinklers set up and it looks pretty, but I can already tell that it'll be fun trying to create layouts that are both efficient and aesthetic>combat is basic so far, but I think it'll get more intresting. Basically you get a drone that flies around and shoots stuff for you that you can customize with various parts.>characters are nice and they seem to have decent personalities. Cutscenes so far are usually quick and snappy and they have good, endearing dialog.>fishing minigame is fun>just unlocked ranching. My chicken, Clarke, is very cute :3>game is setting up this long term goal of rebuilding the town and restoring it to former glory days of old when it was a big trading hub. That kind of narrative/gameplay is right up my alleyIt's still too early to tell how complex the systems are going to be and how much staying power it's going to have, but the first impressions are quite goodAnyone else giving it a chance?My minor complaints so far>no character customization. You have to play as the default girl, though idk why they made this choice cause you could have easily gone the self insert route. She is cute tho, so it's not a big complaint>outside of the cutscenes or specific dialog for quests, the npcs repeat themselves too much>UI and things like storage and chests are a bit clunky and unintuitive>could easily devolve into craftslop as these games tend to do

Dunno how large it'll be once it's full open, but this is definitely not the final size here. Machinery on the right of the barn, it's a bit rough orginizing all this and feels very cramped right now. Need more storage.

First impression after the first few hours worth of play; its average. Writing is so-so. No 2d character portraits. Combat is shit. Pixel art is a blob. Quests are just grinding for mats ie fetch quests or go from point A to B and back to A again. Farming is basic stuff with acid rain means more grinding for mats to repair/protect shit from being destroyed.>there has to be a good thing to say about this game?No, like most other games, what this game essentially is an amalgam of popular farming game mechanics compressed into a non-identifiable mush. A checklist of features, more software than game. Just pirate it if you like the aesthetics.
