Superman stands for Truth, Justice and The American Way.
So what does the Man of Steel do when the American government decides to openly supply and support a genocide and a pointless war halfway across the globe? Will Superman simply sit back? Will he rescue children from the rubble while yet another volley of missiles is heading straight at them? Will he use his superpowers to somehow convince the American government that what they're doing is wrong?
Eventually you end up asking why shouldn't Superman simply rule the entire world with an iron fist if it ensures world peace, after all he seems like a good guy. For the time being at least.

that question is easy. He doesn't want to. Superman's whole thing is being a super citizen without encroaching on human autonomy. He's disaster relief for the most part. The people have to solve the big issues on their own consensus and when they reach that point he'll lend a hand as long as it isn't against his morals

the biggest irony is that superman was created by two jews. just look at those names
anyway several comics have shown superman perfectly willing to walk into the oval office (as well as multiple other presidential offices) and castigate presidents for wars and atrocities and so on. any superman worth the name would both fight against the whole israel vs palestine war and also fight (metaphorically) to remove jews from the usa on top of it, given how theyre the source of damn near every single bad thing thats occurred in the country for the last 80-100 years

It was alright, kind of similar to Spider-Man 2 but the web-swinging had a bit more smoothing and magnetism if I recall.
I won't deny the main selling point is the fact you can play as Venom. You only get him during certain linear missions, but after you beat the main story, you can freely switch to him and rampage around the city.

>>
>>745227764
Yeah because it's fucking easy.
Manga/anime tells you to fantasize about being born a certain way that makes you special for no reason, and enjoy you free gibs in the form of special powers.
Superman at his best tells you there's an ideal to aspire to, but that takes effort so I guess it'll be less popular than "reborn as a lv99 demon assassin"
>>
>>745227313
It literally isn't. I know that you believe there's some kind of basic difference between a man with a badge doing something that is unethical and a man without a badge doing the same, but there just flatly isn't. States are not legitimate and do not operate under a presumption or illusion of legitimacy. They simply have a monopoly on power, something they could not have in a world with Superman.

you could say this about some countries that took power by force, but trying to say it about the states in the united states is just foolish. the US went through a whole war to break with britain and after it, the local governments formed not only consisting of the local population, but also with their consent and them having a direct hand in the structure of that government. they were literally created 'by the consent of the governed' which gives the legitimacy and renders a state actor (guy with a badge) as having legitimate authority invested in him by the public to take an action of some kind

now you could argue that in the 250ish years since then, the people of the states have largely revoked that consent since the government doesnt really represent them anymore seeing as how its been taken over by jews much like how the cordyceps mushroom takes over ants, but thats a separate argument to make from the one you typed out

There are panels of Superman explicitly stating the falsified importance of immigrants. There are comics where other characters declare Superman to be the ideal immigrant. All of that has paved the way to tear apart the borders of White-majority countries. Do you see such themes in ANY other country? Do you see ANY other race entertaining the concept of a 'Superman' that looks like their race but wants them to dismantle their borders and welcome in the stranger? It's just ironic because Superman could be vaguely racist, but ultimately it just ended up being open borders slop. Like most jewish creations.

DC Universe Online.
BUT
Only the main quests.
The game is absolute kino with all the iconic voice actors for Batman, Joker, Luthor, etc. but over the years it went to absolute shit with the updates as they simply didn't had the budget anymore as the MMO boom died down.
So all the "episodes" quickly become slop with no real story, and the current new content is just woke shit with some morally grey special snowflake OC as main character so just play through the main quest of the original game where (you) are mentored by a hero/villain of your choice then quit.
Believe me Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill's acting alone worth that few hours.

It's partially as Tommy the Hitman says: people don't give up the things they're moving away from, but in turn those people aren't really given chances to properly assimilate because they're seen as ethnics first and foremost and are thus pushed into ethnic clusters because those are the only places they feel they fit in.

In America they call Black people African-Americans despite the fact that many of them have family lineages that have been in America just as long as white lineages yet they're still called African-Americans despite many of them not having cultural ties to Africa. We don't call White Americans, European-Americans for reference

Go back to the actual character of Superman as a chaotic good troll
>slaps a wife beater around and tells him to treat his woman good or he'll use a fist next time
>threatens a crooked bank manager to give a farmer a chance on paying back his loan or he'll tear the whole place down
>as Clark, gets kidnapped by crooks; they squeeze his hand in a vise and he ignores it until he gets the information he wants, then "breaks"
All kinds of cool shit you can do with Supes that isn't pure evil or pure good. Get rid of the gay flight/OP god garbage and focus on '38-'44 Siegel Supes, maybe with a bit of Lauther background and Fleischer design sprinkled in.

Yeah, because comics(in America) are devalued by adaptations and were fucked in the ass hard twice by economic and bureaucratic forces. Capeshit is far more popular outside of comic books to the point where the comics are no longer the primary product/core of the franchises. The closest japanese paralell I can think of is Digimon wherein most fans do not engage with the vpets but will consume all of the outside media like games, anime and TCG.

Assimilation is extremely real though. German blood is the most widespread ancestry in America yet hardly anyone speaks German. Same thing with the Italians and Irish. Even many Chinese families who had ancestors from the 19th century have forgotten their ancestral language and culture. The common connection is that all of these groups were forced to assimilate (Germans especially by WWI and II; the German language and culture held a similar position to Spanish and Mexican today)

Modern immigrant groups are not being subject to the same pressures. You can go in any government building and get any form you need in several different languages or even get a free interpreter on the phone. Also, one party is hell-bent on making sure their pet browns never have to speak English or behave properly.

>How exactly does sitting on a throne automatically make somebody a despot?
By itself? It doesn't. When you put it in the context of everything else that Injustice Superman is doing? It does.
Injustice Superman is the judge, jury, and executioner, and the ruler of the entire world. He has death camps and concentration camps too if I remember correctly. And he kills anyone who gets in his way or even dares to speak out against him.
Plastic Man pointing at Superman saying he's literally sitting on a throne is a humorous way to point this all out.

Would take someone who appreciates the character to make a game for him, and he's a really, really undersold character. Reed Richards gets the attention he does even outside of "Hey the F4!" because he's made to be "important." Smartest man, crazy scientist, problems reconciling ethics with brainpower, key member of council controlling the world, etc.
Meanwhile, Plastic Man is only ever... Plastic Man. Even though he's a close to Batman-tier detective thanks to living the life, it conflicts with him just being himself, so it's not given prominence. To most people just looking for a new Super to exploit for material, Plastic Man looks like a b-lister you just pull out for some comic relief before putting back in the closet.

>There's no argument against getting rid of all nuclear weapons that can destroy the whole planet
Superman and Flash are representing Hobbes and Locke, respectively.
Superman thinks that liberty can only be secured by limiting the dangerous, wild parts of human nature which make bad decisions.
Flash thinks that freedom is inherently dangerous, and that you can be free or safe but not both at the same time.
Where superman gets this wrong (like all despots do) is that true liberty can only achieved if an individual takes total ownership over their own actions. Stripping away the option to make good choices doesn't make people more free, it just takes away their ability to 'become' their true selves by disallowing them to take risks.
>>
>>745226827
Whoever wrote this is stupid
>>
>>745244127
The fallacy requires one to ignore the middle though, and Flash didn't do that. Within the bounds of comic panelling, he illustrated how the one thing leads to the next and the next.
Granted ending it on recycling requires a bigger leap than the rest(going from "things that cause deaths" to "things that are illegal but only a mild inconvience to society") though. Maybe with more panels he would've spelled it out, maybe not.
Given how Injustice Superman turned out, it was probably the writer working backwards from the conclusion and letting the reader fill in the egregiousness gap.

>>
>>745245342
The problem is when those "risks" end up killing the innocent. If any and all bad decisions only ever bit the asses of the ones who made it, then Flash would have a point, but instead, in reality, it very often hits the innocent instead while the guy who did the bad gets away with it or is even enriched by it.
Flash only ever seems right to people who have never had to live with or interact with someone who experienced a tragedy brought by the hands of another.

Not ignoring the middle doesn't not make it a fallacy, in the end he is still saying that getting rid of nukes today WILL lead to killing jaywalkers tomorrow with nothing that can be done to stop it from happening. That's the final conclusion, and its beyond retarded, may as well not make any laws or punishment for breaking said laws because if we do even one of them we will end up creating Judge Death.

Allowing the government to monopolize healthcare is morally wrong and writers that use comics as a way to shove their dumb political opinions down their reader's throats are hacks.

i dont really like super heroes that much but i dont hate it either i like super power fantasy so superman just being powerful is enough for me. the moral thing just feel try hard and would you listen about morality from a comic or comic fans? why wouldnt you go for that shit in real philosophy book or something if you really care about what's right or wrong? all the "interesting" shits is just dick measuring contest of whos the most geek wasting most their life same goes for "hard" in difficult games nobody care if you beat it or not just a video game imho

Because privatized healthcare where your insurance can deny paying for treatments while still demanding monthly payment is morally better.

Well if you liked that play prototype. It has a lot of heavy forms with that "humph" behind attacks. Including elbow drops from skyscrapers.
