DW7XL Guo Jia was peak bullshit. Loved his Billiards cue weapon and Guilty Gear Venom sort of play style lining up rows of enemies for repeated damage.

Wei easily has all the most interested officers now in terms of game play.

Cavendish from Pirate Warriors 4, he just blitzes through levels. Also love Pang Tong, Xiahou Dun, and Link On A Horse

i dont have a favorite, i like a lot of characters for various reasons like movesets. back when dw2 first came out the first character i built up was daio chan while my friend was working on another character. we had to take turns since split screen wasnt a feature yet. i liked her move set and her defense was really high (maybe the highest?) so as i was figuring out the game for the first time i could get hit by stuff and barely lose health even compared to other chars at the same level

At first, I just liked Jiang Wei's design, but after playing DW9, I really enjoyed his tragic story. It's like he knows deep down that his repeated Northern Campaigns are non-starters, but the alternative is letting down the one person who placed their faith in him.

The rare female character that I like purely because I think she's cool and I never fapped to her. Neat armor and helmet, lightning bolt shaped sword that's always covered in lightning, actually super strong in combat too, H6 in particular being really damn good at clearing out piles. Didn't bother getting SW5 because she wasn't in it.

Favorite DW char would probably be Diaochan and I've fapped to her countless times.

I was always drawn to Mitsuhide Akechi. I don't know why? I liked him Samurai Warriors 2, and he was the one I played the most of. Magoichi Saika is pretty cool as well.

No it's because of the "theory" (crackpot bullshit) that Kenshin was actually a woman put forth by a Japanese novelist in the 1960s based on a single letter from the Spanish that referred to an anonymous "tia" of the son of Kenshin's sister. Said novelist also has a lot of other bullshit "theories" like Nobunaga not being assassinated by Mitsuhide, Masamune Date really being a shared identity between Masamune and his wife and that Geronimo was really a samurai who emigrated to America and took up a Native American identity.

Akechi was originally Yoshiaki's retainer so that theory's been around for a long while now. However, Mitsuhide chose Nobunaga over Yoshiaki when Yoshiaki organized an anti-Oda coalition, so he was originally more loyal to Nobunaga over the old shogunate and something must have happened which caused him to switch back to supporting Yoshiaki.
So we're still left with zero concrete answer on WHY he betrayed Nobunaga, just a lot of theories. Honestly, I'm betting most theories are true (public humiliation, shaming Hideyoshi's clan, killing his mom, Nobunaga being a ruthless leader, and etc) and it just all add up to the point where Mitsuhide decided to betray Nobunaga to bring back the more inept Yoshiaki instead.
