How the fuck was I supposed to know?!
>>745224348they expected you to pay attention and use your brain
>>745224348I just clicked buttons until more buttons popped up. I have no idea what they were going for here.
>>745224714>they expected you to pay attention and use your brainThe entire game thus far had been baby easy and trained you to NOT expect things like this. Like it's cool, but it's poorly implemented when you train the player to not expect things like this to be expected of you.
>>745224348>>745224714>mage says the crystal was warped by the cold>heating it up is not the correct answerPay attention my ass
Some of the food in this game is...I mean...
*random titcow*
Just a whole fist sized wedge of blue cheese for a snack...mmm...
I have no idea but it just randomly works every time.
>>745224348You weren't, its not a puzzle. I dont what the fuck the devs thought they were making, but the result was not a puzzle
To this day I'm still not sure how you're supposed to solve it.
>>745224714>>745225356There is both spell books and a fucking journal telling you what to do right behind you.
>>745228613Wrong section anon
>>745227160>nords call people "milk drinker" as an insult>roughly 80% of their diet is dairy
>>745228789Nords being retarded? You don't say
>>745224348I wish we had more cool moments like this
>>745228613>>745228648I just did it. I didn't see a journal, but yes it has spellbooks laid out prominently and I remember thinking "odd that they're here of all places" but I didn't think it meant "hey heat the crystal up or cool it down" even though yes at the entrance the first dead guy has a note and the NPC in the last room mentioned the crystal having problems with the cold BUT like I said, the game never teaches you that it's that kind of game, the first dungeon in the game with the golden claw is braindead and trains you to treat the game as a braindead game.
>>745229008The first dungeon is braindead becuse it is the fucking tutorial. The game is a complete tutorial until you get to the throat of the world.Well i say complete, the basic tutorial is helgen, Then if you follow along the beaten path there is tutorials for crafting, merchant, alchemy in riverwood, then side quests from the inn, then whiterun sets you on the path for the companions and other tutorials up until you take out the first dragon, then get called to the throat of the world, which is tutorial for dragon shouts. It is rather formulaic and the game really leads you on a singular path until the throat of the world, While also giving you multiple reasons to deviate from the path to do side quests if you want. This is of course assuming you went to bleakfalls before whitrun too.Bethesda like to initially bombard you with options, most likely because they expect people to do multiple playthroughs and it gives a new player a sense of wonderment. Then after you get deeper into the game there is more elaborate quests and complicated puzzles/Funny too because the mages guild is a complete cake walk tutorial too. Which I think they 180 from oblivion which was a big elaborate mission to even get into the mages guild.
