I wonder what video games will be like 20 years from now
If you showed the current gaming landscape to the average gamer 20 years ago, they would tremble in sheer horror. In 20 years from now gaming will be something only the most braindead goyim can enjoy, something beyond comprehension for the very few who won't have a mental illness of some kind
>>745227295Sheer terror from how dogshit things were. Shitty arcade shooters and cartroon slop color palettes were a cancer on the industry. >>745227090Nerv gear that I'll use to get raped by cute girls in vr chat
>>745227090Streamed poorly ai generated games trying to look consistent and good as games from more than a decade ago.
imagine trying to explain to people in 10 years that we used to have the tools to create dedicated servers for games we liked
I used to wonder about that when I was a young man... two full decades later and they look stagnant, so I have 0 expectations
I wonder what dinner will be like 20 years from now
>>745227090games will release and then an advanced LLM will decompile them 48 hours later and we will have loads of mods by the end of the weekget ready anon, future looks bright.
I wonder if I'm even going to live 20 years from now

>>745227090They'll look like Debra Wilson 20 years older.
>please drink verification can
>>745227090Games will have NPCs with infinite dialogue because of AI. That will probably be one of the most notable changes to vidya in 20 years.
>>745227525that's antisemtic
>>745227457I can tell you had to backspace while writing your post to change "dogwater" into "dogshit". You know what game was the talk of the town 20 years ago? Gears of War.
>>745230901Yea, and gears of war is dogshit too. Boring pve, terrible netcode for PvP on top of the already shitty gunplay. The only interesting thing was the reload system, which doesn't salvage everything else.
>>745227090The industry moved in the exact opposite direction I wanted over the last 20 years, and I don't see it getting better. 20 years of insane opportunity cost. It is quite grim.
>>745227090diminishing returns means they wont be a lot different
more feminine penis
>>745227090I guess we will see 1 or 2 great indie releases which will cause some companies to develop and some to go bankrupt or we will just have access to our own software. Game developing and coding will be much easier with A.I. but with anything easy comes the collapse of creativity. Think about it, a painting that Da Vinci made (which took years) can be rivaled by a painting a child who used stable diffusion (in just minutes). As life becomes easier, advanced and convenient, the more soulless, vain and dull the art and culture become.
