The 20th anniversary for Sonic '06 is only 3 months away. Did anyone here actually play this on release, or did everyone just watch Pokecapn's let's play?
>>
I hyped it the fuck up but didn't own a PS3 until 2008, so instead I looked at what I could get, and bought Sonic Heroes, Sonic Rush and Shadow the Hedgehog eventually. I think Rush was first for me? And it made me an instant fan. The 06 trailers already made me a fan preemptively, and I almost couldn't believe it was trashed in the reviews when they came out. Then I saw some footage of the final game and noticed the animations looked stiffer than what was shown earlier. I went and bought a PS3 with our first "job money" with 3 dudes from high school the day GTA IV came out, but I pretended I wanted to look in 1 more store to find a "cheaper price" and they laughed at me saying we already looked and I was gonna lose money on it. Then I went and bought a PS3 for 40 dollars more, and GTA IV, and Sonic 06, and then I kept 06 hidden in the bag when I returned to my friends.

And I loved it. It's awful, but I love it.
