they looks almost identical in space with a few shitty extra small islands and less urban space.
LOL ROCKSTAR OF DAVID BTFO!!!
>>
Does Rockstar only know how to make islands?

let's laugh at tel aviv.
>no oy vey our map will be bigger!
less urban space, more nothing, literal big wastes empty of water

Gta 5 was big, cars were just fast and LA was wide. In gta 4 you are forced to slow down frequently given NY's city design, which heloed the map feel bigger.
>>
>>745633173
The individual islands look much bigger tho. The map might be much bigger than it seems
>>
>>745634203
they are small little islands that won't have shit to do on them
>>
>>745634203
If you zoom into the bigger map and see more streets appear then I will buy the game. Is this true or no?

This can't be real lmao, there's no way it took them 13 years to make such a small map.
>>

That's what the $100 yearly expansions are for retard

Thanks. Going to buy the game when it comes out.

ESL much? Not what i said, take a good fucking look at the top of GTA V's map. It's all completely empty just like all that is there
>Ignore the 6 big cities
They are towns at best you retard, don't ignore the small amount of shop icons in them
>Multiple small cities
Where? You mean Vice Dale being the only one?
>Multiple Islands
That still don't have shit in them even zoomed in, and they are SMALL islands
>>

>>wants an invisible wall
Imagine doing something fun instead of ocean water or a Bethesda wall, have it catapult you back into the map if you go out too far like in the old ATV Offroad Fury games.

get yourself some bitches

In reality you wouldn't even land a private jet at LSIA

This has a mixture of all out of bounds shit. invisible water boundaries, invisible wall in the desert then island around the north and east.

My fav way of dealing it is how crimson dessert does it (probably more games but last one I remember) where an extreme external threat kills you, In CD case extreme weather.

GTA since SA has done it well by having infinite water as in you can fly and sail infinitely, but when you 180 it doesnt take you long to get back to the island.
its essentially an optical illusion to the player, an invisible wall but looks like you are still moving.
it suits the game.
I absolutely hate invisible walls.
Witcher 3 has that, really annoying.
I also dont like "get back in 5 secs or you die" like battlefield.
Dying light 2, despite being a shit game did the hazardous boundary shit really well but it basically insta kills you.

It also looks like you can zoom into different section of the map so relatively fast. Seen by the white outlines.
So zoom out, move cursor fast over different sections then zoom in and it will shoe the intricate roads.
I assume they have done this for fast map navigation as slow map navigation is an issue in GTAv.

>its essentially an optical illusion to the player
You're thinking of Vice City, in GTA SA you can fly/sail away infinitely until the game breaks.
>>
>>745640827
>until the game breaks.
idk, I have never seen it break but you are kidding yourself, it doesnt actually have you sailing away like an infinite water mass, you sail for 10 mins, then do a 180 and you will be back to the island in a minute.

>>745640827
Do you remember how red dead 2 handles every boundary?
I only remmeber the mountains having either unclimable gravel or rocks you would slide down or in the snowy mountain a cliff face which you would die if you dropped down.
I cant even remember the mexico border.
