Is Falcom focused on remakes now? Or will we get more of a continuation of the main story? Are they going to remake Chapter 3? Are they going to remake the entire Azure series as well eventually? Action scenes are well done and choreographed. The new music imo is better than og (you can still select from original, evo and remake soundtrack in settings). Combat system is faster, you can engage trash enemies on the field in a basic action mode and switch to turn based at any time (basically the classic "hit enemies on the field before battle to gain advantage" but on steroids and it's actually pretty fun). There are also new sidequests to flesh out the characters a bit more, one in every chapter. I think that's all, no reason to replay the og when these exist.

Another great reason to play the remake instead of the og is that it has fast travel and waypoints for sidequest. In the og, the backtracking is almost unbearable at some points, and also, it's almost impossible to tell where sidequest items are or even where to find quest givers for hidden sidequest to the point it's highly recommended to do the game with a guide as all of these things are missable. Also the carnelia books are marked too so that's one less thing to worry about. Yes, some sidequests are trivialized but your sanity will thank you for it.
