Wasn't a huge fan of the emphasis on terrain destruction, made all the enemies kind of boring to fight. most fun I had in the game was the final gauntlet because it was an actual linear challenge of all the game's mechanics. I think DK is better in a course clear environment, and Mario is better served in the more open exploratory format. now that metroid prime 4 sucked ass maybe I can finally get my 3rd retro DKC

Either you're talking to someone who is too poor for a Switch 2 and the game is woke tranny slop flop mop drop top, or you're talking to someone who is too poor to afford anything BUT a switch 2 and thus the game is the bestest gamest ever because mommy bought me a switch 2.Game is fun, but as a soft sequel to odyssey is totally misses the point. Odyssey is fun because it is primarily about world interactivity. You do weird shit and are rewarded with moons. Replacing lost rocks, sitting on park benches, finding lost NPCs, climbing towers, gathering meat, etc. It is basically like you go into a world and just sort of use your intuition to find most of the moons. Bananza is really a lot about just using echo location and then destroying the floor, walls, or roof to get to it. Most of the bananas are like this and it really hurts the game. I don't feel like I am exploring levels so much as just randomly fishing around for beeps on my sonar fists.However, the games platforming IS fun. When you do the challenge courses moving feels great, jumping feels nice, and they can hid the bananas in more clever locations. But how many of the bananas are from challenges? How much of the game is them? Feels like a small amount all things considered. I beat it, I had fun, but I actually didn't even feel the need to do the post-game, meanwhile in Odyssey I actually bothered to get to darker side and get the final moon in the chapel, even if I did not 100% the game.

Maybe I'm just not into collectathons but I burned out like half way through, stopped playing around the 5-6th zone I think. whenever you get the zebra power. new areas just didn't seem to do a lot different. And the bosses were way too easy.
