Despite selling over 2.5 million copies, this game seems to have had remarkably little cultural impact. I never hear anyone talking about it or see memes related to it.
>>745859357Good. The last thing I want is normies coopting the things I enjoy.
>>745859357Nothing has cultural impact anymore.

>>745859357Ur mom had a big impact on the ground when she fell LMAO
I will take a guess that when this thread dies you will make one titled "2026, I am forgotten..." or something like that
Nobody could make threads about this game for a month because genuine pedos kept embedding actual CP in inages whenever threads would pop up
>>745859357>remarkably little cultural impactHow exactly do you wants video games to impact your culture? Like you act like the game characters? Wear their clothes? Use their lingo?
>>745859442so true
>>745859806I don’t want them to do anything. It’s just interesting that this best selling game barely exists in the popular consciousness. Sort of an Avatar situation
>>745859357What's there left to discuss? It was a fun game with a cute but very simple story.
>>745859954I think that a much better comparison will be the Horizon series, triple A games with 40 million units sold and nobody talks about them
>>745859954Its a single player game, in the age of live service forever games. Yeah it doesnt make the new rounds until it gets dlc. How is it that everybody here is living under a rock and doesnt understand how the world works?
>>745859357Capdrones are NPCs who will buy anything they squeeze out once and never think about it again. They have no standards and don't critically think about anything they play or experience.
I liked the game but it didnt really do anything all that novel. It's a EXTREMELY basic corridor shooter and the hacking mechanic gets so old I eventually just went and installed the auto hack mod. The plot was decent, and the daughter was cute but that was about it.
>>745859357It's a fairly bland TPS. Why would it have any cultural impact at all? It feels incredibly dated if anything, like an antique x360 game that Capcom found in their archives and sold as a new game
im waiting for 75% discount and avoiding spoilers
>>745859357That's okay. It's just a good game that people liked and played. That used to happen all the time.
>>745859357The devs made the Pragmata concept too boring>le simulacrum of a cute genetically fucked little girl self aware lunafilament manipulating entity with omni hacking capability
>>745859775>for a monthtry years, hell /v/ in 2025 got a little out of hand with the pizza posting compared to other years almost like people were aiming to take this shithole down, one of the archives got taken down too because of that
>>745859357no Oldiana no dealalso the game is mid
>>745859806I look like this and act like this.
>>745859357where would itredditors aren't going to talk about it because it has an ick factornormgroids aren't gonna talk about it because its an easy target for bants/v/ isn't going to talk about it because its a video gamediscords are inherently insular and you run a high risk of accidentally encoutering a groomcord given the subject matteralso this >>7458594485 minutes and onto the next thing you need to buy

>cultural impactwhat is this mentally ill memeit's a video game, you play itthen it's over and you move on
>>745861227>it's a video game, you play itthen it's over and you move onSince when? People still talk about Halo 3 here
>>745859357
>>745859442>>745859880ok pedo
>>745862269>still talk about Halo 3 hereyeah, that was covered under the "mentally ill"
>>745861227>>745862269For a better example of "cultural impact", take games from the 2000s that were sufficiently played by Gamers that you can still quote them and people know what you're saying, or reference them in a subtle way and everyone gets the reference.would you kindly list a few examples?
>>745860083I mean the faggots on 4chan seethe about Alloy all the time. If you want actual discussion, I'd say the series was forced. The first game is a solid 8/10 but the sequel Forbidden West was absolute forced trash and boring as shit. Looks amazing though, I'll give them that but outside of that, the game is boring and forgettable as fuck besides underwater Las Vegas. It would've been a perfect one and done game and looked back on fondly as an underrated gem but instead they're forcing it into a series and shitting out games and spin-offs NOBODY ASKED FOR. That shit ass multiplayer live service slop shit was an absolute flop and if you noticed they went completely silent after that shitty ass beta. You can say the same for the shitty LEGO game as well but almost every IP in the world has sold out and shitted out a LEGO at this point so it's whatever I guess.TL,DR they should've just stopped after the first game, the entire franchise feels like a FORCE just so SONY has a game to fill space inbetween TLOU, Astro Bot, Uncharted, God of War, and Ghost of Tsushima/Yotei
