Why the fuck is maxing the pro pool power so expensive? I don't play that often anymore, but I noticed it had a pro power. I already have all heroes/skins and maxed out the other pro powers (except tech bots, they must've added that semi recently). I had about 15k MM and spent well around 10k before realizing this shit seems way more expensive than the other powers. I only have 3k MM and stopped because I didn't think I'd even be able to hit tier 3 with the money I had left. I've never used used a pool before but I wanted to max it due to completionist autism. Then I tried to use it in match and it's comically fucking huge so I don't even see myself being able to place it in any map.

I partially agree. On the one hand his new style is very nice to look at, just something about it that tickles my brain real good. Plus his new designs with the girls are damn near perfect imo (like pic related, the huge bust with a slimmer build hits just right with Brickell).
On the other hand his newer porn pieces all seem to be much more exaggerated with the anatomy, especially the look of the penises and nipples. It really shows on his gay pieces that have a very oddly detailed anuses that look blown out at times.
It's like his lewd pinups are peak but his actual porn pieces are weird.

I'll never understand why the kiwiniggers thought refreshing ct tiles you capped shouldn't give trophies. Fair enough that it doesn't do it while the tile is giving points, because it means you have to give up something in exchange for not potentially loosing a point tick, but it should give trophies when it's degraded enough to not give points regardless of who owns it. Otherwise it encourages you to spend your tickets elsewhere and hope someone else recaps, instead of doing what's best for the team.

Turns out heroes matter only for early game, killing the BAD (round 100) or super late free play rounds (200+).
Everything else doesn't matter because your regular defense takes care of it. That's why Sauda (early), Etienne (utility/global camp), Ben (gold) are so good. Everybody else is almost meme tier or has a hyper specific use case.

I find I always get the furthest when I spam buccaneers. I have a Spa Pits hard run just completed wave 259. I'm getting a little bit scared that I won't last much longer. Yes. Specifically 100 tiers worth of them. 25 2/2 will do just as well as 17 4/2.

Here are some rule of thumb numbers for paragons.
100 tiers = degree 20
max money (listed buy price*4 + ~5%) = degree 40
max money + 100 tiers = degree 60
max money + 100 tiers + 16.5 million total pops [listed as damage on the stat screen] for that tower = degree 80
Soloplay hardcaps paragons at ~82ish. If you want a degree 100 you need to use Geraldos totems for the last degrees or play co op so others can contribute 100 extra tiers.
Every 20 degrees boosts a paragons boss damage by a fuckload.

Before the update years ago at this point it used to be 76 (78 for dart with MK) but now that they changed it the cap on solo without Geraldo totems is 91.
There are 4 things the game looks at to determine the degree of the paragon.
1. Tiers spent on that kind of tower, with a cap of 100 like you mentioned.
2. Money spent on the towers that will get absorbed into the paragon. This has a cap of 3 times the cost of the paragon (so it becomes 4 times when you include buying the paragon itself.) You can also use the cash slider when buying the paragon but that incurs a 5% tax. Technically worse than spamming towers but much more convenient.
3. Total amount of T5 towers placed past the required ones, with a cap of 9 extra T5s. This is the reason you can't get a max degree paragon in solo play without geraldo.
4. Amount of damage dealt from all the towers that will get absorbed by the paragon. This has a cap of 16,200,000 damage. Cash earned by the towers (as of now only the boat and engineer) also counts at a rate of 1 cash = 4 damage.

If you want something new, try using 204 Ice Monkey. It's literally a better crossbow monkey for a little more money and can last you for a long while.
024 Ice Monkey is technically better due to faster attack speed and more pierce, but you need supporting towers to make the most of it.
Kinda funny, 3 024 Ice Monkeys can rack up insane pops with MIB, getting over 1mil combined pops at round 100 for 3 towers that only cost 18k in total. Actually a really solid tower, maybe a little OP given how good it is compared to it's price.

Alright, nvm I'm actually surprised by how well the 204 dart did. Both tests on CHIMPS.

So, some notes:
The 024 ice was better at piercing large waves than the 204 dart. In the image there you can see I had 2 icicles and 4 sharp shooters (comes out to roughly the same price), however I only added the extra towers on round 98. You can see the darts needed some extra help in the form of another 402 boomer and the 204 ninja (for the icicles I only needed to add the ninja on round 100).
For round 98, I had to use Sauda's abilities to help both towers, so tied there. The rest of the game I rarely used Sauda's abilities so she didn't really influence the effectiveness on that front (though she still ended up having the most pops/damage done anyways lmao).
The 204 dart was more price efficient early on, obviously, and held up well in the late game, only a little worse than the 024 ice.

So in conclusion it wasn't the white bloons to watch out for but the MOABs. Still, dart monkey chad is the most price efficient tower ever.

For the dart monkey, you use 204 instead of 024 because of pierce. The base dart monkey's pierce is pitiful, and for CHIMPS pierce is (usually) more important than attack speed. See pic related, same tower placements, (roughly) same round placements (yes for all towers, I did my best to imitate both runs), nearly 100k difference in damage and 30k difference in pops. Why do you think the pierce upgrades are more expensive than the attack speed ones for mr dart monkey?

Rule of thumb: get attack speed for games that end early, pierce for games that go the distance.

I used MIB for making the comparison between the ice and dart equal, plus the focus was on how well the individual tower does with equal buffs so yeah I gave it MIB just to simplify things. If I used 1xx alch he would also get bonus ceram/moab damage which would have made the comparison less equal (I could use 1xx alch on the ice but then it still needed MIB for whites/zebras anyways so fuck it I was being lazy lol plus kinda awkward tower placement since I needed to group things up for universal buffs from village/skywardens/abyssal).

The main reason they're doing more damage here because most of your defense suck against super cerams and you decided to use sharp shooters to fill that gap for some fucking reason which clearly isn't enough because you still needed to add 2 glaive ricochets. The second reason is that you're playing on monkey meadow which has a lot of overlaps and straight lines causing the pierce to get used up more easily than actual hard maps.

Here's another test in sandbox with JUST the dart monkey, placed in the same spot (more perpendicular to the track set on strong), with monkey knowledge off (also the placement is off cause the gear turned before I can take the screenshot, I place them both in the center), round 98.
Track too curved? Fine, here's it on cargo with as perpendicular a placement as I can get, same story.

A majority of rounds in bloons are GROUPS of bloons, to the point where even perpendicular shots get piercecapped because there are so many bloons. This means pierce is so, SO much better for the later rounds where groups are always pumped out at you. Supercerams or not, it's shrimply fact that pierce is almighty in this game due to how many bloons get launched your way with the exception of rounds like 80, 97, and 100.

If you don't believe me, go ahead and do this in your own games and show me your setup.

Fuck it, here's round 39 as well. Perpendicular setup, no monkey knowledge.

Even in the early game the pierce upgrade is only SLIGHTLY worse than the attack speed on. Compare to late game rounds, this difference is clear cut: for CHIMPS (and all maps really) if you decide to get a xx4 dart monkey you are actively griefing yourself if you go with 024 rather than 204. The ONLY maps I think x2x dart is better is Expert where the early game is the hardest part of CHIMPS, to that I will concede the pierce upgrade is actively worse since your late game likely won't rely on dart monkeys and early game on Expert CHIMPS is super important. For everything else, just go 204.

It does close the gap quite a bit, but pierce is still favored even in non-optimal positions for it.

I think if you are going for the dart T5 though, the attack speed one MIGHT be better if buffed compared to the buffed pierce, but again in more optimal positions the pierce one will sweep. I'll have to check this.

Why isn't pierce better? Late game CHIMPS rounds are infamous about centering your tower strategies between:
>killing gigantic groups of bloons (round 96 and 98)
>killing single targets (round 97 and 100)
And since most of the rounds from 81-99 are huge groups, pierce is pretty important. Maybe I was over exaggerating on saying it's more important than attack speed but the margin between them is pretty thin I'd say.

There's just never enough density to warrant a pierce crosspath over speed or damage even on single lane maps. Whenever there is density, like as you say on r98, you usually break it up into manageable chunks with slows, stuns and shoves. From moab glue, maim moab or symphonic reso, and moab shove or moab press respectively.
The only exception to wanting pierce over attack speed, if that is a choice in your crosspathing, is xx4 boomer because the pierce crosspath affects its knockback. You not only pierce through more moabs (duh) but send them further back with each knockback. That pierce synergy, as in multiplying a status effect, isn't really there for other towers. Every other towers' pierce crosspaths just allow you to affect more bloons without strengthening any status effect.

Right but even those debuffs/stuns used depend on being able to have enough pierce to apply them in the group without the rest of the pack catching up (usually those debuff towers synergize well with pierce buffs from easy to get sources like primary mentoring for ice/glue), plus cleaning up once the MOABs crack. Generally there's still a balance between being able to eat each chunk and having the towers to debuff the group effectively. Otherwise the other popular strategy for breaking through the high pack rounds are using towers that just straight ignore pierce like glue strike/storm, bloon sabo, and/or snowstorm/absolute zero (plus those abilities help with the fast rushes like DDT).
Icicles is an example where the pierce effect is usually a better crosspath since there's a ton of other towers that cover the weakness of not being able to hit whites and leads, and buffing pierce can help it immensely when dealing with later rounds (doubly so when upgrading to Icicle Impale which also slows down the MOABs dramatically while still dealing good damage to the whole pack).
I dunno, maybe I'm just a retard but most of the time I try out CHIMPS and see others doing so a lot of tower strategies are entirely focused on round 98 piercecapping and round 100 BAD.

Only vaguely related, but something I got reminded of this CT is how crossbow master has low pierce and it was what was killing my 005 dart solo of spice islands up to round 74.
However, adding the relic that gives +1 damage to ceramics and the relic that gives +25% pierce made it work really well.
Difference was huge.

I played 4 levels in bloons blitz and I just don't understand the kiggers, once again another developer that doesn't play their own game
why the fuck levels??? to artificially inflate the length/content of the game?
there is almost no incentive to walk around, you kill bloons too easily. gathering XP is the only reason to move and if you're unlucky, you just get 'bloon rush'ed and can't get XP anyways. movement is also too slow for my taste, for both player and bloons
why the fuck does the boss have two health bars? the XP you get from killing the boss once is underwhelming/negligible
