I've played some Dota on NA East to prepare for the English exam, and holy fucking блять, it's a hellhole. I understand now why Americans always bitch about online games. The server is called NORTH fucking AMERICA, there are special dedicated servers for the South one, but for some reason every other game had a bunch of Latinos who don't speak English at all. On Ru servers, 99% of people speak Russian. Also, there is this weird thing about the quality of matches. If you take a range from 1 to 10, where 1 means the utter dogshit and 10 is the best match ever, Russian servers usually can be described as 2 to 9, imo, with the median somewhere around 6. The NA range is -2 to 11 with the median around 4. Yes, occasionally you will encounter the sweetest eagle-bros imaginable and Latinos sometimes, but good luck lmao, you have a better chance at winning a lottery, but the sheer amount of spanitards and of some USA-unique breed of assholes who aren't worth shit, neither as a player nor as a person, but have an enormous ego doesn't worth it. I took my Canadian friend to a Russian server once, and he was genuinely surprised people here play as an actual team. My behavior and conduct scores are both 12k and the rank is Legend 5, fyi.Maybe situation on EU is better, but I don't play there.
