How much creative freedom do they have with Titus? He’s technically a hard canon character at this point
Ultramarines land on a Necron world and suddenly John Necron is accused of humansy
John Spacemarine is sent by the inquisition into the Maelstrom to stop Huron's top guy from building some kind of super weapon (you fight Ork Freebooters, Kroot mercenaries, traitor guardsmen and CSM)
Skip chaos this time. Go with eldar as the main enemy in the first half, then Nekron in the second. Near the end, Titus reluctantly teams up with eldar to stop the Nekron from fully awakening on the planet.

An anthology series where the main "plot" is Titus and his marines but there are several break ups in the story where you play as members of other legio- I mean chapters. Dark Angel, Space Wolf, White Scars, etc. Then they all the plot threads come together in the end with Titus and his smurfs.

The game ends with a big epic final stand where everything you did failed and it's comes down to accepting your death but then the Marines Malevolent come back in and kill the big bad with their own plan that you thought wasnt going to work

>>745959313The main selling point is co-op PVE. Embrace this. We do not care about the story beyond it being a reason for why we are there. Exterminating aliens is enough of a reason, we do not need a long convoluted plot or a big arch villain pulling strings. As great as the story and cinematics were in the SM2 campaign; I played through it once over 8 hours, then spent another 500 on the PVE co-op; so rather than flashy cinematics and tons of voice lines for characters I saw for about 1.5% of playtime; give us more co-op missions, more locations, more enemy factions, etc.We want customisation. Let us make our own Marines. Let us choose the pattern of their armour and mix and match pieces. Have different effects tied to the armour, but also allow some degree of transmog so we can get our unique look without worrying about viability. We want to be able to make our homebrew chapters. We want to be able to make 30k variants and loyalists.Feel free to utilise AI for chapter-specific voice lines. It would be awesome to have slightly different lines based on the chapter we play, and it would be cool to have a few different options for voices among the chapter-specific dialogue. Having 2-3 different voice actors for EVERY chapter which ALL have slightly different dialogue is obviously not possible; and this is where AI can shine and really elevate the game. AI is a touchy subject but this is exactly how it should be used.

Tau and their auxiliaries. Mostly traitor guard and kroot. Since the entire premise of the game is to never take cover as tau's bigger guns come online the game adopts the mechanized elements of 40k. Get Titus in a warsuit vs a battlesuit and tand raiders vs hammer heads ect.Have it end on titans vs storm surges When chaos shows up at the end (they will) you can focus on their titans and greater demons. It seems like a nice escalation for the series
