You can barely roleplay in it, most quests only have one solution and it doesn't even matter if you play male or female unlike Fallout 2 for example.
The combat and build autism are great though.

i enjoy the game. it's not a game where you an roleplay a lot, but the art, soundtrack, atmosphere, writing (most of it), combat, puzzles, and build-making are top notch.
>>
>He didn't play a pure TM or pure throwing build
You didn't beat the game.

There's some differences for playing a different gender. Aside from dialogue chances and being given different arena/code titles, there's other things like females not being able to talk their way through the Grey Army Base because the FeMC canonically has fat tits. On that note, it's funny that the MC is just some guy while based upon how she's treated in dialogue, FeMC sits at around an 8/10 in appearance.

the top 4 moment I can't forget

Heavy Duty, it adds heavy weapons like LMGs and grenade launchers (and now miniguns and rocket launchers) and a new map thats basically a full on combat arena with respawning enemies.

Yeah the dlc was quite standout. Todd is one of my favorite characters for sure, as well as really all of these other characters.
>the professor had to explain to common folks the concept of the sky
I love if you give the acorn to Eidein, he can explain to you what trees are. And the gunsmith in rail crossing who is fascinated by wood furniture on older guns but it's such a foreign concept at this point.

I personally liked the logs left behind by the NFT guys. My favorite one was the one in the security tower by the captain. I don't have my screenshots on my laptop sadly, but it was something like 'remember there was a whole world here and the inhabitants defended it bravely to the very end.' I found it to be really touching.
There's another neat bit about the biocorp siege submarine and why it disappeared during the initial battle between NFT and Biocorp. You can find bits and pieces of the lore about it in the dlc and in the waterways dungeon near the rig. The mutant route is also really cool, just so many fun details and stories in this game.

>and I never joined the pirates or tried to be peaceful with the savages
Pirates have some fun lore, not as much as sticking with Aegis but there's some unique things there that are worth a playthrough. There's also a really cool moment, quite small, that requires i think a per or psi check I forget.
>peaceful with savages
Impossible iirc. You either kill them early or they keep throwing more and more dudes at you.

>level up throwing because grenades are some of the best weapons in the game
>dont ignore crafting, grab 2-3 categories and focus on them (biology and chemistry are nice because they let you craft drugs)
>stealth is powerful, you dont have to take on every fight
>enemies are dumb with doorframes, setting up traps or hiding around corners makes them a nightmare
>bear traps are cheap, can be used by any build and are always very efficient

it's a much shorter one that's like one giga dungeon with some cool new mechanics, cool lore, lmgs, miniguns, grenade launchers, 2 extremely powerful energy weapons one small one big-- probably the best weapons in the game maybe. and a bunch of mediocre/niche power armors. i like it but i bought it really to support the devs.
>>745964804
i mean the normal tincans couldn't get the job done quickly and they lost an entire lab to a bunch of hobos with explosives so it's not surprising the government sent in the glowies to anal rape everything.
>>745964830
i don't think infusion is even going to hit hexagon and the north underrail cities. heavy duty takes place inbetween south and north underrail-- we obviously don't make it to north underrail and end up killing the fuck out of a ton of dudes (or sneaking) somewhere in the 'dark territory' between the two major regions.

the easiest dumbest way to play this game is still probably some form of assault rifle build. either tactical vest or tin can (metal armor), but the latter requires more finagling with your feats (armor sloping) and using money on crafting super steel armor, also making boots with springs in them for more mobility. It's so much easily to just go tac vest and find some ninja or pig tabis and run around. stealth is also good but depends on how you want to build your character.
>throwing for cc, grenades are extremely useful. emps, flashbangs, frags, he
>guns
>crafting optional but recommended because good drugs and better guns and energy shields and armor. but you can still easily play this game on normal with shit you find, especially that you can refurbish unique guns now. energy shields are really good.

The biggest clue *i* have (through my largely incomplete playthrough because i never got to the deep caverns) about what happened on the surface is that it likely froze to the point of being inhabitable, as the utility tower is one of the highest "peaks" inside the underrail and the higher you try to climb on it, the colder it gets. The underrail was designed by an ancient company called BioCorp to house whats left of humanity and use them to conduct experiments beyond human imagination alongside the likes of other companies who were trying to find a way to make the surface liveable in again.
The whole underrail is undergoing another apocalypse because one of those experiments involved merging several scientists and psi users into one giant shapeless meatball with tentacles called Tchort that wants to feed off all life to continue growing and eventually becoming underground Cthulu.

Kharon wasn't originally in the game, he was added in later in an update. You meet him when you take the path for the secret mutant ending if you end up getting turned into a mutant yourself which can happen in 2 different areas, one being an underground lab and the other being that mutie water facility dungeon you can only get to by jet ski, I think it can happen as well during the Gas the Drones quest if you don't escape in time.

The question is if Styg wrote him into the lore before or after the update that added him to the game.

First of all, forced loss or retreat encounters is fucking gay for rpg games. Any decent dev will always put in an what if result if you do things out of norm.
Secondly forced faction based reputation is also fucking gay. This is like fallout 3 karma all over again. If I murder a person and also murder every witness then there should be no blame on me.
