There were some negative trends like WOKE and micro transactions that started in this generation however I still think this is when gaming peaked overall and the 4th Gen is when it really started to go downhill. This time was also a good balance for graphics as games were still nice looking but were not so advanced and realistic that it too me like 8 years to make a game. Companies could still make a solid game in like 3 years.
