Anyone who isn't completely braindead can tell that the Japanese voices are more natural sounding and the production quality is also better. That natural sound is because the Japanese language is syllabic, so their way of speaking is able to more naturally match the lip flaps, whereas English is not like that, so dubs often sound choppy and forced. Combine that with the fact that most English VAs are fucking terrible at what they do and you get the travesty that is 99% of dubs.
