I have been a Fromsoftware/Souls fanboy for 15 years ever since I played Demon's SoulsThe Duskbloods is fun but Marathon 2026 mogs it hard. I expected The Duskbloods to be a lot more bloodthirsty and invasion based in the style of stalking players from the roofs in the streets of Yharnam rather than most of the action being arena style with quick respawns and a final fight club duel.I also expected loot, actual loot. Like you would find a gun or a sword or loot it from a boss and use it on players or take it from them.

>>745977547I don't think that this is a particularly reasonable comparison. Marathon is an FPS extraction game, The Duskbloods is a TPS... I'm actually not sure how to describe it beyond that. It's PvPvE, there is only one winner in the end of a match, and the base gameplay is the standard FromSoft package (-Armored Core), but with a lot more mobility. They are only superficially similar.
