It's easy to make a perfect game. Every design either detracts from or adds to quality. As far as I'm aware, that's:

•No leveling. Think about it. People don't want to be irrelevant to what should be the largest portion of the players and game. I get it. Questing can be fun, but if people wanted to level, games like Classic WoW wouldn't get sub-1M 60s in 6 years.
•No bind-on. This one is easy. Make people's gameplay matter.
•Material repairs. That little bit of risk:reward is key to driving the economy, making professions relevant, and putting people just a little on the edge of their seats.

But then there are choices like tab target vs. action combat. Tab target can be almost completely the same as action combat. See parries, ripostes, and dodges. But I think people will eventually prefer action combat.

What else? Leveling obviously loses massive amounts of players. I don't think how solo it tends to be, how many of the zones and materials become irrelevant, how small the kit tends to be before max, and how little gold is made, is a design people want to be a part of.

I wish we could get copyright time down to 10 or 20 years.

You still can't call it World of Warcraft 2 or whatever because of trademarks, right? How does that work?

Make it 2D. You won't understand now, but you will when someone does it.
>b-but this 3D game with 2D sprites already exists
Not 2D.

I hate OP racials. I played orcs almost exclusively, in Classic, for the resist bonus. But I just wanted to be humans for the cities and zones, plus anatomy.

Are there any turn-based MMORPGs out there? Maybe not fully turn-based but for combat and/or dungeons? Cartoon tits to grab attention.
