Keep the skill leveling system, keep the attribute loss on using opposite styles, keep the turn based combat, keep the 4th member being constanly replaced and useless. But make the game harder, make it a challenge, make the game so hard you want to rip your fingernails off. Save only in inn's in towns, dungeons that take 4+ hours and a single bad encounter can reset 10+ hours. Full open world with encounters that will instantly kill you near the start. Use a game engine like the BG3 game, turn based from above. But who am I kidding good games will never be made again.
