IRL romance is a thing between 2 peolpe and its so fucking personal, mixed in emotional feeling that only those 2 people get, Its horrid in every medium and in vidya its complete cancer.

On a related note the jew likes to shove that shit into sci fi flicks as a marketing tale of days gone by so women can have something to like in a movie to put their ass in a seat, so much that shit ruins like 95% of sci fi movies.

Worse for me is that I will of course want to get immersed as fuck in GTA so I will have to play along and really get into the romance...a fictional romance of 2 fictional characters in a vidya. Plus the beaner is ugly as shit.

Trevor was there for shock value and he is the only good character of the 3 as franklin is a nothing, blank box despite being the main character. He is more like a whiney non gangbanger who hates his lot where trevor is an edgy amoral shitter put in to be a shock to the way things are done. I guess comedic effect.
lemarr and lester are the only 2 decent characters in the whole game though.
They gave lemarr a lot in the online as well, base game missions, then low rider missions and eventually a side contact in the dr dree mission and even he and franklin has unique missions where you can play as both of them.
If they had any of the characters make a cameo in 6 I would want it to be lamarr but desu 6 going for what looks like a serious story, any of 6 characters would be out of place as its a zaney ride.

I think the ethos they were going for with the 3 characters is that they are "nearly" cool characters but they are all flawed in their own way and they did that so as neither of the characters stand out over the other. Which makes sense from a game dev perspective because if one was cooler than the others, people would only want to play as that once character, not all 3.
Even their unique powers which define them, none are that OP that you would prefer one over the other and late/post game none of their powers are even useful enough you want to use them. They feel like cheating or playing on easy mode.

I think it only works well because of the character switching. I think they saw an immediate design issue with players only ever wanting to play as the one cool character they instantly knew they had to make them all a bit of a moron.
Even franklin, his flaw is he is a whiny non character. His character is devoid of anything other than being a jobber and whining.
Also I forgot to mention but goes without saying micheal trying to relive his hayday is brought on by franlkin giving him a kind of underling to relive his "youth" crime days. Again another actual flaw for them both.
Franklin is not a go getter, he is just a jobber.

All 3 characters also get unveiled to the player in a kind of spectacular way that makes them look cool but later all 3 kind of drop off after you see they are all flawed. With the exception of franklin who just becomes devoid of character. he essentially becomes a no character as soon as they give him his mansion.

As for GTA6, I think they will do it completely differently, plus there will be a new leader/writing team.
Their ethos is (probably) going for realism over comedy and unless they do try and pull a bonnie and clyde story making them tragic, hedonistic or psychopathic, which I actually think they will try their hardest to avoid, they will make both of the characters look rather normal, not cool or flawed.
In fact in the trailers you can see stuff like lucia going to work, saying they can make the home nice or something like that and jason doing jobs. I bet they end up falling into doing crime by necessity.
most likely the leaked shit that the drug drop goes wrong and they then go on the run and have to do crime.
Ultimately something where it feels like a real story and not caricatures of people, not tragic or deviant just shit happens and they end up going into a criminal path.

No. GTA was never known for its great writing, it was always rather zaney missions with a lose objective.
I think only good writing in a GTA game was the 4 leaf clover mission in 4 and that was copied from the movie heat.
It was RDR that made them have decent writing and i guess RDR2 made them change their direction with GTA and go for a realistic approach which will also need real writing.
